Pizza Thursday report for September 30th, 2010

Hi gang! How is everyone’s week going?  Ours has been busy!  We’ve been slammed with business meetings all week, either we’ve been participating in them or planning and talking about them.  Scott has had even more meetings than I have, at least two more.

By the time pizza time rolled around yesterday we were more than ready for it!  My dough however was not wanting to play along.  It was being prickly earlier in the day and when I rolled it out, I knew right away it wouldn’t be able to handle a full on pizza.  I wasn’t about to buy a pizza and I wasn’t about to toss the dough.  I did that too many times this summer already and I was determined to make this dough work.

I decided that I was going to make calzones instead!  I rolled out the dough and then cut it in half.  Each half got layered with:

  • Sauce
  • Cheese
  • Shredded Carrot
  • Red Onion
  • Broccoli

I purchased some fresh mozzarella at the store recently, so I had Scott shred it and we used that in our calzones.  The cheese was amazing and I fully expected it to be ooey and gooey.

Once everything was assembled, I sealed up the calzones and baked them at 425 for about 1/2 an hour.  Had my dough been normal, it wouldn’t have taken that long.  Probably 20 minutes most!

The cheese wasn’t quite as gooey as I hoped.  It was actually better not heated up!

The calzones were yummy but not the pizza I was hoping for.  Oh well, win some and you lose some.

Roadshow has been sort of duds lately although the one we watched last night was way better than last week’s!  But nothing to have a conversation about.

Wine for the evening was a lovely Malbec by Maipe.  It was just the right kind of dryness with a lovely spicy background.  We sipped on that while watching House Hunters.  The International episode last night was driving Scott bonkers.  The guy looking for a house was a tad annoying.  He was openly mocking the culture of Belize while looking for a house!

Then I kicked up to a nice toasty bed.  Mmmm I pulled the heating blanket out for the season and it makes the bed so amazing.

How has your week been lovelies?

Pizza Thursday report for September 23rd, 2010

Hi gang!  Oooo this week has been a crazy one!  In fact ever since September hit, we have been going full steam ahead and it doesn’t look like that is going to let up any time until after the New Year.

First of all, that is one jam packed schedule! Second of all, can you believe I just mentioned the New Year like it was no big deal?!  That’s the time of year we are in kids, I don’t care what you might think of me, but the holiday season officially starts for me in September.

Now most people when they hear, “holidays” they automatically think of Christmas and maybe Thanksgiving.  But in September Fall starts! And that’s a holiday to me.  Then there’s Halloween and I will feel sad for you if you don’t like Halloween.  It’s not all about dressing up.  There are scary movies, candy corn, carving pumpkins, The Great Pumpkin, and fun foods! What’s not to like?!  Naturally Thanksgiving is after that, then (insert your religious holiday here) and then the New Year.

See?  The Holidays start in September!

How did Columbus welcome in the first holiday, the start of Fall?  With 90 degree weather and humidity of course!  Good times.

Please note the sarcasm.

How did the HQ welcome in the first holiday?  With a Antipasti inspired pizza!  Oh Yeah!

I realize that it looks a little too brown and possibly not so tasty but I promise it was delicious!

  • Whole Wheat Crust
  • Light on the pizza sauce
  • Spinach
  • Shredded moz and parm
  • Red Onion
  • Green Peppers
  • Sundried Tomatoes
  • Mushrooms (Scott’s side)
  • Artichoke hearts sliced into quarters
  • Pepperoni pieces

Here’s the scoop.  Scott loves olives and whenever we go to the grocery store he’ll usually check out the olive bar and see what kind of nibbles he can get.  Recently he got these marinated sundried tomatoes that were garlicky and so good.  I tried some!  Then we picked up some pepperoni, the kind you slice yourself.  Ever had that?  It’s a lot more tastier than the kind that is presliced.  This was no meds, minimally processed blah blah blah pepperoni.  You know the drill on my eats.

Anyway, I got to thinking, “Okay what if we did like an antipasti inspired pizza with pepperoni and marinated stuff?”

So in a huge bowl I combined all the ingredients except for the pepperoni, and added 3 cloves of shredded garlic, Ms. Dash Italian Seasoning, big pinch of red pepper flakes, lots of balsamic and olive oil.  Stirred, covered, and set in the fridge all day long.

Topped the pizza with all those fixin’s and then the pepperoni.

Holy crap this was the best pizza ever.  The tomatoes got a little crispy but otherwise this was amazing.  Totally trumps the sundried tomato, spinach, and feta pizza by a long shot.  I had three pieces and seriously debated having another it was so good that I didn’t want to stop eating it.  I’m drooling just thinking of it!

We watched the lamest Roadshow.  It was so boring and took ages to get through. Nothing worthy to note!

Wine of the evening was a new to us Cab by Foodies.  It was really good!  It was a very light Cab, almost reminded me of something close to a Beaujolais Villages.

I didn’t even have any dessert! I was beat and since I’ve got TWO hot dates today, I figured I needed my rest. :D

Happy Friday friends!  Any plans for the weekend?

Pizza Thursday Report for September 16th, 2010

Hi gang!  How are all my foodies doing this week?  Did you miss the pizza recap last week while I was away? I have been busy trying to catch up and prepare for this week.

I have to tell you that I am floored September is flying by so quickly!  I feel it’s going a little too fast and I can’t keep up.  I have so many things planned and so many things I want to do on the blog that I’m afraid I might not fit it all in.  Yikes!

Columbus has jumped right into fall weather with both feet.  We’ve been having cool days and cooler evenings.  In the mornings for my runs, I have to wear long sleeves and sometimes gloves.  It’s awesome!  I hoping to bust out my fall decorations this weekend.  I bought some new fall candles and am already in the holiday planning mode.  Meal plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas along with what kind of foodie gifts I’m making this year.

While I enjoy sitting on my deck and grilling on the weekends, this is by far my favorite time of year!

Alright let’s get down to pizza business!  Scott and I ate early yesterday because both of us were starving!

  • Whole Wheat Crust
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Shredded moz and asiago
  • Green Peppers
  • Red Onion
  • Yellow and Red Tomato
  • Spicy Italian Sausage
  • Shredded Carrot

I had three huge pieces!

Now that the weather is getting cooler, I hope I can go back to the spelt crust because I miss it!  I know some might think the shredded carrot is odd, but I promise you can’t taste it.  Being shredded it crisps up nicely and adds some extra veg without being in your face about it.  I don’t have a close up of my three pieces, they turned out too dark.

Antiques Roadshow was so cute last night!  There was an older lady who had this simple folk art painted trunk that was $18-25K!  There was also someone who actually had the original puppets from Rudolph!  They were a little rough looking but oh they were so so cute.

Someone had this shelf clock that really didn’t look much like anything, not even any kind of decorations on it and it was $75K!  Some lady brought it a Chinese robe from the 1600s, can you imagine?!  All this super old stuff amazes me.

Wine last night was a lovely dry red and we typically pick this up at our local Whole Foods.  It’s Monte Antico Toscana and it goes great with pizza or other heavier type dishes.  Dessert was some dark chocolate squares.  Red wine and dark chocolate makes a fab combo!

I have gotten so much great feedback from you guys about the pizza recaps!  So many have told me on Twitter, in person, and through emails that you really enjoy the weekly posts.  I’m glad because we love pizza!  Hooray for pizza!

Now tell me how your week is going!

Pizza Thursday Report for September 2nd, 2010

It’s September!  YaY!!!  I constantly look forward to the changing of the seasons.  Granted I don’t look forward to winter much because here in Central Ohio it gets pretty bitter cold come January and February.  The past few years we’ve seen our fair share of snow as well.  Although shoveling the driveway and sidewalk is a nice way to get some exercise in.  I look forward to fall and spring the most followed by summer.  My summer joy is not long lasting and by August I’m ready for it to be over.

Fall contains so many great things!  Pumpkins, the leaves changing, and cooler weather.  Comfort foods abound and the smell of a fire in the air.  Plus there’s all the fab holidays and reasons for celebration!

In the spring, the weather takes a break from the bitter cold and we see the sun a little more.  It starts to get lighter out earlier and we change the clocks in order to give us more time to enjoy the sun.  These are my two favorite seasons and I’ll admit that I love fall a tad bit more.

I’ve pulled some of my fall decorations out already even though we are still sporting 90 degree weather.  I like seeing pumpkins and fall leaves around the house!

But let’s talk about pizza!  There was a bit of a twist this week.

  • Whole Wheat Crust
  • Pizza Sauce (Scott’s side)
  • Garlic olive oil (My side)
  • Red Onion
  • Spinach
  • Chopped tomato
  • Broccoli
  • Shredded Moz and provolone

Mmm mmm!  I wanted something simple this week that had some veggie content to it.  I use garlic olive oil as a base for my side of the pizza.  I poured some olive oil in a bowl and added in two cloves of garlic that I sliced in half.  I let it sit for most of the day and then I heated it up slightly in the microwave before brushing on the crust.  I sprinkled a little garlic powder and Italian seasoning on top then started layering in the veggies and cheese. I did add a very very small amount of sauce to my side as well.  Just to give it a little bit more umph but not enough for it to be “saucy”.

Best pizza!  Of course it could have been that I was starving by this point as well.  We had to make a quick stop at the grocery store to pick up a few essentials.  I try not to go to the store on pizza day because I don’t want anything delaying pizza but sometimes the situation is unavoidable.

I also went back in for a third piece.

Listen to this Antiques craziness! Alright so this lady brought in this old wooden painted box.  It was from Lancaster, PA and was Pennsylvania Dutch style (think like Amish but not quite as a restrictive lifestyle).  It had Americana type pictures painted on it like a house and tulips.  If you have ever seen Warren Kimble paintings, this is similar.  Except that Warren Kimble is “new” and this box was from the 1800s.  Anyway this little rinky-dink box was worth over $100,000.  NO LIE.

At which point I turned to Scott and said, “If we had a crap box like that, we would be selling that mofo right quick.”   Because honestly it looked just like that, a little crappy box.

Be careful with what looks like junk!

We had wine while watching and no pic was taken because we were totally off our game last night.  Ha!  Since we went to the store our evening timeline got shifted and we were out of sorts.  We also had dessert, vegan PB and chocolate silk pie.  Heaven!

How’s everyone’s week going?  If you live in the U.S. are you ready for a three day weekend?  We are!

Pizza Thursday Report for August 26th, 2010

Hi gang!  How’s everybody’s week going? Mine has been so quiet that it’s been very lovely!  I’ve been working on some professional things and also on the blog.  I have some ideas for a change but am not sure quite how to implement them.  Plus my “designer” is a bit of a slow punk when it comes to getting things done.  However he does pay the bills so I guess I can forgive him a little. ;)

The weather here this week has been amazing!  It’s like early fall with very cool mornings, cool enough that I can see my breath, and very mild afternoons.  We’ve been able to open the windows up in the house to let some fresh air through.  I’m relishing this because I hate being all cooped up in a house with recycled air.  Yuck!

Given that it’s still late summer, I’m sure these temps won’t last long so I’m trying to take advantage as much as possible!  One of my goals is to sit on the deck while getting some work done.  Doesn’t that sound peaceful?

Pizza this week was amazing and very much wanted!  I was starving by the time it came out of the oven.

I cannot cook the pizza on my own, I need Scott’s help in order to slide it into the oven and onto the pizza stone.  Since we typically have Muay Thai conditioning class on Thursday evenings, the previous routine was after I showered, Scott would shower and I would prep the pizza.  Then he would help me get it in the oven.  Now the routine is that I shower, prep the pizza, he helps me, and then he showers.  That way when he’s outta the shower, hot pizza is waiting and we can chow down!

I like this plan a lot better.

  • Wheat crust
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded moz and provolone
  • Red Onion
  • Chopped grape tomatoes
  • Shredded Carrot
  • Buffalo Chicken sausage
  • Ham (Scott’s side)
  • Spicy pepper relish (Scott’s side)

Originally I was going to have straight veggies but last night during class I felt a little bit like I was lacking energy and figured I could use some extra protein.  It was yummy and I was starving so three BIG pieces went into my belly!

Scott’s spicy pepper relish was some spicy giardiniera that I picked up at the grocery store salad bar.  I put it in my mini food processor and gave it a rough chop.  It made for a really great topping and Scott loved it!

Wine for the evening was Louis M. Martini Cabernet which is one of our faves.  It’s smooth with a slight spice taste and a very dry finish.

You know we watched Antiques!  One of the most interesting items this episode was a very old clock from the 1700s which was a night time clock!  You would put a candle inside and that illuminated the time.  Very unique looking!  Sadly it wasn’t worth what you would think something from the 1700s would be worth.

After that we watched a little bit of House Hunters and I called it a night.

Anyone else have pizza this week?

Pizza Thursday Report for August 19th, 2010

Hi gang! You know after last week’s pizza debacle that I needed to make some OHC style pizza STAT for this week! I was completely looking forward to it too!  The chew of a whole grain crust, the crisp flavor of fresh veggies, and the satisfaction of eating something homemade was calling my name.

I was a little worried about the crust this week because it seemed a little too fluffy while it was rising.  I was hoping and praying that it work out and that my pizza dreams would not be crushed.  Thankfully my fretting was all for not because the crust turned out amazing.  Not only did it taste fab but during baking it rose like crazy almost looking like I made some sort of deep dish pizza!

Mmmm deep dish pizza!  I have not made that for a while.  Perhaps I should reconsider it and give it another go!

This week’s pizza just had some very OHC style veggie toppings and it was soul soothing.

  • Whole wheat crust
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded moz and asiago
  • Green and red peppers
  • Red onion
  • Broccoli
  • Mushrooms and hot peppers on Scott’s side

I had three lovely slices watching the best show for granny’s ever!  This week’s episode was crazy good gang!  Just about everything was worth a load of cash.  One lady brought in some framed needlepoint from the 1700s and it was worth $25-$30 thousand dollars.  Needlepoint is where it’s at kids.  I have yet to see any needlework come in that didn’t have a high price tag attached to it.  If you’ve got some, frame that bad boy up and get it insured!

One girl brought in some statues and small figures carved out of walrus tusk that her great-grandfather had gotten during his travels.  One little figure was of a kneeling person, and it was tiny guys but it was worth like $8-$10 thousand dollars.  Crazy!

Love it!  But then I love old stuff so it fascinates me.

Wine for the evening was a Chianti by Da Vinci.  It’s one of our favorite reds and we haven’t had it for a long time.  It was on sale so I decided to pick some up!  Very yummy!

How do you guys feel about the pizza recaps?  Is it something that interests you at all? Just checking because while I love pizza, I also don’t want to post stuff that is uninteresting.

Pizza Thursday Report for August 12th, 2010

Hello pretties!  How’s everyone’s week been and are you looking forward to the weekend?  I am for sure and I hope it’s a relaxing one because dang, we need it up in here!

Also, Happy Friday the 13th!  I am hoping that Scott and I will watch some cheesy horror movies!  We love cheesy horror movies and used to watch them all the time in our earlier courtin’ days.  One thing we watched was on SciFi (I’m sorry, it’s very hard for me to actually type out SyFy and not want to roll my eyes) and it came on every Friday night.  It was called, Full Moon Fright Night and it was hosted by William Shatner.  It was a night full of cheesy B horror movies.  Friday nights rocked at our house!  Sometimes we would order in Chinese and then hang out all night watching movies.

Oh memories!  To bad that isn’t still on anymore!

Okay moving along to pizza!  We got take-out.

I know!  Have you picked yourself up off the floor yet?  Kay, good.  Yesterday went by at lightening speed.  I had so much work to get done both professionally and around the house.  Then I got slammed with not feeling well.  Like, I wanted to curl up in bed and yell profanities till the achy went buh-bye.  Therefore no pizza prep happened and we ordered pizza out.  We tried a new place close to us called Enrico’s, which is the menu above.  I know that is supposed to be a mushroom on the menu but, well, yeah.  I’m just letting that go.  Anyway, here is now a perfect example of why I prefer making my own pizza and why I don’t really care for many pizza joints in Columbus.

Disclaimer: I realize there are a few fab joints in Columbus that I would love to try but they are a long distance away from me, making them not conducive to late night pizza demands.

Issue 1: For some reason, Columbus does not seem to like the red onion.  Any onion on pizza seems to be white and red is somehow cast aside like your third cousin with the lisp and buckteeth.  I like red onion, Columbus, let’s try and get it on pizzas.

Issue 2: Lack of veg options.  I like spinach, and broccoli, and tomatoes, and carrots and fun things!  Olives and fungus do not count as veggies in my book.  Pizza joints also do not want to embrace the veggies leaving me no choice but to get nutritionally devoid cheese pizza.

Issue 3: And this is my BIGGEST complaint; the way Columbus likes to cut their pizzas.  In odd shapes that make no sense and have zero functionality.  It’s like giving the pizza cutter to your drunk Uncle Jeb once you know he’s made a dent in that Natty Light case and asking him to cut you a slice.  You get pizza slices made from the crazy.

Case in point.  Let’s see, we have a triangle corner piece, that’s interesting.  A triangle that seems to form a corner on a round object.  Mmmmkay then.  And over there are some strange oblong shaped pieces which seem totally reasonable next to those wee square middle pieces that are perfect for when you just want a small bite of the pizza.  Right out of the middle.  Just a small bite, right exactly from the middle of the pizza.  Nothing satisfies quite like the small middle bite, am I right?

Also that triangle corner piece, making everything stable and holding down the fort?  No cheese.  Just some sauce but no cheese. Well if it had cheese then the whole pizza dynamic would be thrown off and chaos would ensue.  Or so I’m assuming because otherwise I’m sort of at a loss here.

I really just want some dang normal-sized triangle pieces of pizza topped with veggies and some red onion.

Now you know why we make our own pizza at the HQ.

Of course we watched Antiques Roadshow last night while eating our geometry lesson.  Biggest take of the night?  A Native American wooden bowl carved in the shape of a raven and used to hold fat from some animal clocked in at between $150-$200 THOUSAND dollars.  Like whoa, right?!

Anyone else grab some pizza? :D

Pizza Thursday Report for August 6th, 2010

Hi gang!  I know I’m getting this post to you late in the day but things have been crazy here at the HQ.  Do I keep saying that because I feel like I’m on repeat.

Pete and his brother Repete were in a boat…..

Ever hear that joke?

Anyway, both Scott and I are tackling projects left and right which means we are busting our butts on this end working hard to make sure things are done and done right.  This week was very busy with business meetings, networking meetings, and project meetings.  Oh and even some bloggy meetings too!

Plus I’m trying to get the HQ in tip-top shape because some of your favorites from the foodie and healthy living bloggy world will be stopping by TOMORROW for a wee lil’ get-together.  Yeah baby!  WHEEE!!

And then there’s living our personal lives and making sure that Scott and I get some facetime together at some point during the day.  That’s very important to us as a couple.  Is it important to you and yours?

So you can understand that I am burning the candle at both ends currently and I’m not really sure when that is going to change.  Which is okay because busy means we’re working and things are happening for the better! :D

Okay, anyway you came for the pizza and not hearing me ramble on.  Or did you? ;)

I went easy this week and did a lovely veggie pizza for my half:

  • Whole Wheat Crust
  • Pizza Sauce
  • Shredded moz and asiago
  • Red Onion
  • Green Pepper
  • Broccoli
  • Spinach
  • Mushrooms and Pepperoni (Scott’s half)

Antiques Roadshow was outta control this week!  Please keep in mind that we tape this show and have stockpiles of them on our DVR so we have them to watch whenever.  We aren’t current with the episodes, far from it! Because we tape it and save it during hockey season and catch up on them over the summer.  Hockey season is just around the corner kids!  Anyway, some lady had this sketch drawing by a famous painter that was worth a couple hundred thousand dollars. :o  Another lady had this terribly ugly piece of pottery that was like 25 thousand dollars.  The antiques on this episode were extremely high!  I love when they are that high, it’s so fun to see which is going to be worth a lot and which is going to be worth next to nothing.

Yes I am a dork.

Then we watched the season finale of Kathy Griffin which was hilarious.  Do any of you watch that show?  Lord this week was all about her mom and her mom’s new condo which is exactly like high school and totally crazy.  Plus it had Cloris Leachman in it!  I apologize if you youngin’s don’t know who Cloris Leachman is but trust me when I say she’s damn funny.  Then I kicked it in bed and was exhausted!

In the event you are looking for something to read ;) I have a guest post up over at Maggie’s site about food and relationships!  Plus it contains one of my super fave pics of Scott and I!

Pizza Thursday Report for July 29th, 2010

Hi gang!  How is your week going?  Ours is definitely a lot calmer than last week yet last week must be catching up to me because I’m crazy tired this week.  Sleep sounds like so much fun compared to other things! :p

This week’s pizza was inspired by a pizza I had out recently.  I know!  Ordering pizza out, crazy!  It was Restaurant Week (do you all know what Restaurant Week is?) a few weeks ago and Scott and I headed out to dinner at a place called Figlio.  Going in I was planning on ordering off the RW menu but then decided to get something else instead and ordered off their pizza menu.  They serve up wood-fired pizzas and flatbreads.

Wood-fired just happens to be my fave kind of pizza!  So yummy and you get the best crispy crust.  I ordered, if I remember the name right, the summer veggie flatbread.  It had no sauce, just a garlic olive oil as a base topped with cheese and the veggies were tomatoes, red onion, red pepper, and some broccoli pieces.  Topped with balsamic.  It was really good!  It probably would have been better if had been a regular crust and not a flatbread but that is just me being picky.

That pizza inspired this week’s pizza here at the HQ!  I made my own little twist on it and this is what I came up with:

  • Whole Wheat Crust
  • Shredded Moz
  • Dollops of goat cheese
  • Pizza sauce (Scott’s side)
  • Spinach
  • Red and Orange tomatoes
  • Grated garlic (3 cloves)
  • Red Pepper
  • Red Onion
  • Sundried tomato and basil chicken sausage (from the Farmer’s market)

I cut up the veggies and mixed them all together in a glass bowl and sprinkled in a little salt, fresh black pepper, and Italian Seasoning (Mrs. Dash).  I mixed it all up and let it hang out in the fridge, covered, till just before I was ready to use it.  When we got home from MT class, right before I headed up to shower, I pulled out the veggies and mixed in some balsamic dressing.  I let it hang out until it was time to top the pizza.

I only had olive oil on my half and put a very thin layer of sauce on Scott’s half.  I layered in the spinach then I topped with the cheese and then layered everything else on top of that.  Originally I wasn’t going to have any sausage but it was dang good!  Hooray for local farmers! So I had some on my half as well.  A few dollops of goat cheese and the pizza was ready.

It was OFF THE HOOK good.  Easily up there as one of the best pizzas I’ve made.  The crust was crispy and thin but not so thin you wondered where it was.  The toppings were flavorful and even though I used a lot of garlic, it mellowed out while sitting in the balsamic and then being cooked.  Everything tasted amazing and worked so well together!

Definitely will be making this one again!

You know we kicked it with some Antiques Roadshow.  One guy bought a watch and had a 50% off coupon, so he got the watch for $1.50 and it was worth $5,000.  Another lady’s hubby paid $8 for a painting back in the 60s and it was worth $150,000.  It was a really crappy painting too and those seem to always be worth the most!

Note to self: Purchase really crappy crazy paintings that you don’t understand. Set aside for 40 years, then sell to fund your assisted living needs.

The episode we watched actually had a bunch of people who had things valued in the thousands of dollars.  Sometimes the most disappointing stuff is the jewelry.  People bring in things from the 1700s and 1800s and they aren’t worth but a few hundred dollars.  You know stuff was way better quality and better made back then by actual people and not machines and such.  Yet a guitar from the 60s can be worth $80,000.  Silly, in my opinion.

No dessert for me last night.  I opted for more pizza instead!

Pizza Thursday Report for July 22rd, 2010

Hi gang!  This week has been full of crazy and hot.  Crazy because for me I’m am running around like a mad woman trying to get things done.  I  have meetings and emails going nonstop!  In fact I’m trying to get this typed up and done so I can head to a lunch meeting which after that is another meeting.

CRAZY

Scott is working on two HUGE projects.  One for his 9-5er and one for his freelance business.  Both are due next week and he has been working nonstop.  My poor babies.  By nonstop, I literally mean all day long until about 3am or whenever he makes it to bed.

CRAZY

The only thing that is constant is Rocky’s love for laying in the sun and sleeping.   Everything else is spinning like mad!  Also, please don’t think I’m complaining because I’m not.  I love making connections, completing jobs, and meeting to discuss future plans!  Literally I can thrive off of that.  It just so happens that everything is going on this week is making my eyes go blurry. :p

Okay, I lied there is another constant this week. PIZZA!!  Let’s discuss:

  • Whole Wheat crust
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded moz and asiago
  • Red Onions
  • Green Peppers
  • Mushrooms (Scott’s side)
  • WF pepperoni (Guilty pleasure)

Very simple pizza this week because I didn’t have time for anything else!  Also sometimes the simplest versions are the most comforting.

I had a wee bubble on my side!  Whoo!  Also those are not burnt bits but a seasoning that I’m going to talk about in a future post. :D  The pepperoni was just okay this time around. I wasn’t really impressed and most likely won’t get it again.  It was fun while it lasted pepperoni!

We watched some Antiques Roadshow last night and were blown away by some of the stuff!  One wooden eagle carving was worth $10,000 and one lady had some Peanuts cartoons in a collection that was worth over $450,000!  Some lady found a Tiffany mirror (she didn’t know it was Tiffany) at a garage sale that she paid $2 for and it was worth $25,000.  Crazy!

Then we watched Kathy Griffin.  Lord!  Do any of you watch it?

Wine for the evening was a nice Cabernet that was smooth and buttery and delicious!

Dessert was an experiment!  I’m only telling you that it had chocolate chips in it and I used my bundt pan for something other than cutting corn! :p
