September 7th, 2008: Dinner

Hey guys! Scott and I gamed most of yesterday afternoon (Resistance) and I also did laundry. Late afternoon, I started to get a little hungry and decided on a snack as I didn’t want to start dinner just yet.

Doritos and Cheez-Its

Naughty foods! I pulled out the last of the Doritos and Cheez-Its to get rid of them. I hate throwing food away and didn’t want to just toss them. Honestly, I’m just not into them anymore. I also poured us 3oz of red wine. We sat back and down and as I picked I realized I didn’t want any of it. Yuck! We both agreed to just toss them and move on.

So I pulled out some Kashi cheddar crackers and roasted veggie crackers with slices of white and yellow cheddar. Sat back down and I wasn’t really feeling those either. I had two slices of cheese, a white and a yellow, and a few crackers. I didn’t even want my wine. I just wanted dinner! That stuff got put back and I started dinner.

We grilled outside last night because the weather was beautiful! Cool and a little breezy, just perfect for sitting out on the deck and relaxing.

There were veggie kabobs, chicken sausages, and kielbasa. The kabos consisted of potatoes, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, and Chinese eggplant. On my plate are three kabobs, two kielbasas, and one chicken sausage. With a small amount of WF German mustard for dipping.

We also had a beer with dinner. I gave the mushrooms (yuck!) from my kabob to Scott and ate most of everything else. I left two eggplants pieces and one potato. I ate one and a 1/2 of the kielbasa and left about a quarter of the chicken sausage. I actually didn’t care for it. It was a WF chicken sausage that I got prepackaged near the bacon and not from their fresh sausage counter. It had the texture and consistency of a hot dog. Ewwwww. That wasn’t what I was looking for at all in a sausage. Aside from that dinner was very yummy. I nursed that beer for hours, I just wasn’t into it. I didn’t finish it and probably dumped about a 1/3 of it. After dinner clean up, I went to bed and read for a bit. I was super tired! I’m assuming from my run that I did in the morning.
