August 27th, 2009: get organized

Hi guys! I busted out of bed this morning about a quarter after 6am.  I got Rocks taken care of and then was out the door for my run.  It was sooo humid this morning, yuck!  I got my 3.5 miles and back home for some CS.

Rocky and I went out for a shorter walk and I was done with all of that stuff before 8am this morning.  Wooot!  Stretched and showered, and then time for breakfast.  Well actually I looked over some work quickly first and then I made some breakfast. :p

Coffee and oats

More summertime oats!  This time with two nectarines because none of the peaches were ready yet.  And the nectarines are screaming to be eaten quickly.

While I ate breakfast, I got caught up on mail, twitter, and some blog reading. Then I started in on my post for yesterday’s eats.  I also did another post on chain restaurants and my thoughts on what makes a business a chain. :D

I did some more work and then it was time to head into the kitchen to make some lunch!  I was starving by this point.  Today seems to be one of those days I can’t get enough to eat.



Of course there was salad:

  • Mixed greens
  • Shredded carrot and parsnip
  • Cucumber
  • Chopped banana peppers
  • 1/2 a morningstar chick patty

Topped with balsamic and oil.


Super purple smoothie:

  • 3/4C carrot juice
  • 1.25C US cranberry juice
  • 3/4C water
  • Kale
  • 1 small beet
  • Frozen blueberries
  • Frozen mango

Awesome lunch!

After lunch it was time to wrap up some chores around the house.  I cleaned the kitchen and did some prep for dinner.  Then I dusted, vaccumed, and swiffered the downstairs.

Scott has been busy with office organization stuff.  Helping with putting up the new curtains, and getting the new desk in order.  I can’t wait till it’s finished!

I got to sit down for a few minutes and then it was time to head on out to MT conditioning class.  Oooo it was a sweaty hot one today!  And I was totally okay with that!  I got my butt handed to me and it was glorious.

After a walk with Rocks and showers, it was time for pizza!  HOORAY!

PizzaI have been on such a spinach/sundried tomato pest kick lately with pizza!  I totally had that again this week. :D

Andrea’s Side (left)

  • Pesto base
  • Shredded asiago and parm cheese
  • Shredded carrot and zucchini
  • Red onion
  • Green pepper
  • A few pieces of chicken sausage
  • Garlic chili sauce

Scott’s Side (right)

  • Pizza sauce
  • Moz, parm, and asiago cheese
  • Shredded carrot and zucchini
  • Red onion
  • Green pepper
  • Chicken sausage
  • Mushrooms
  • Buffalo sauce


MMM MMM! On a whole wheat crust that came out super thick and chew this time!

Pizza I started off with 2.5 pieces but totally could not finish it because the crust was so thick! :p  I ate most of it though.  And of course there is room for wine and dessert, which I must get to!  Till tomorrow lovies!
