Hi guys! After I posted last night I headed straight to bed. I was exhausted and freezing! I didn’t want to turn the heat up anymore but I also didn’t feel like layering on my clothes or blankets. So I put myself to bed with my flannel sheets and heating blanket. Ahhh! Scott came up and snuggled with me for a minute and then started falling asleep. :p My poor hunnies, he just is not feeling well. I asked him to purty please come to bed early instead of his normal time of 3am. He agreed and was in bed by 11pm, I think, I’m going off his Twitter time.
I got up earlier this morning, only by 15 minutes, but wow did that make a huge impact on my routine! I was surprised by how warm it was when I took Rocks out for his potty run. I only needed to wear my hoodie during my run today and even then I was a little warm. :o It was also humid, so I think it might rain. I love my hoodie! I was browsing the store again looking at other things and saw some stuff on clearance that would be nice to have. I need to stay away!
I did my 2.4 mile route at a nice pace today. My right shin was a little tight and sore so I didn’t want to push myself. I clocked in at 29 minutes when I was done. Not too shabby, still under the 30 minute mark which is good. I drank down my CS and could have used more but I kicked the carton and didn’t feel like walking down to the basement to get more. Lazy butt.
Rocks and I were soon back out the door and about halfway through our walk it started getting cold and windy. That’s what it did last week and then it started raining and rained all day. I pushed through our walk because I was getting cold!
Just in case any of you want to join, I’m participating in Bobbi’s Pile on the Miles Challenge! We log our miles from Nov. 8th – Nov. 30th and whomever has the most miles wins a special package from Bobbi of all her fav running stuff. Now I know by no means am I going to win because all the people who are participating run a lot longer than me and my wee 2.4 miles. :p But it’s fun to be part of a challenge and it will make me get my butt out of bed in the mornings which is getting harder and harder. I wonder if my walks with Rocky count towards my total? Hrmmm
When we got back home it was only 8am! Wheee! Normally it’s after 8, going on 8:30ish when we get back. Hooray for getting up earlier! I almost didn’t stretch and do the Wii yoga because I just wanted to sit down with some breakfast. I opted for doing a shorter time because doing something is better than nothing right? I did 14 minutes and felt better for it.
I made more pumpkin oats:
- 1 C vanilla soymilk
- 1/2 C quick oats
- 1/2 C pumpkin
- 1 mashed banana
- Pinch salt and cinnamon
And my mix-ins were:
- Crushed walnuts and pecans
- Spoon of dark chocolate PB
Had that along with my morning coffee + creamer, yum! I’ve been back to drinking a whole cup of coffee now or close to a whole cup. Apparently, it was only a brief period of having a half cup.
I’ve got a full day of stuff so I need to get moving. See you later!
