Favorite Running Socks

I was in the market for some new running socks, the catch being that I didn’t want to spend a lot of money.

I never had a problem with my feet sweating too much and I never had a problem with blisters.

Which meant that I wasn’t super picky about the socks I wore.

I used to wear the workout socks from Old Navy, $5 got you three pairs of socks.  They were low profile, light, and worked just fine.

However they are now old, crusty, and just worn out.  I needed some new socks quickly!  I asked my runner friends on the Twitters what they liked and my friend Jen pointed me towards Target.

She said that there were some Champion socks that she really liked and they weren’t expensive.  I immediately went to check them out.

There are several versions that Champion makes and I picked the duo dry ankle socks with arch support.

I am in love with these socks.  They’re a little heavier weight than what I’m used to but not so much that they make my feet hot.  They are soft and the best part is that they don’t slide down during a run.

Sometimes the ankle socks would slide down my heel and I would have to stop and pull them back up.

These socks stay put!

I loved them so much I went out and bought several more pairs of them.  Good bye Old Navy socks!

Hello fluffy clouds of goodness!

Do you have a favorite pair of socks to run or workout in?

Disclaimer: I bought these socks with my own money and was not required by myself, Target, or Champion to review them.  All opinions are my own.

  1. We’re always looking for comfortable cushiony socks for my son. He plays football and basketball and as he says it he needs the cushion in the toes and balls of his feet because he’s always cutting up the field or on the court. We discovered these socks and he LOVES THEM. We offer them now on our webstore, sportsfitnesscorner.com. These are the best socks for sports and for athletes.
