Do What You Love

Going to school and becoming a Health Coach has opened up a whole new world of opportunities for me. As a Health Coach and owning my own business, I’m free to make my own choices and do what excites me.

I have the ability to do what I want to do.

There are two things that I love doing:

1. Teaching people how to cook.

2. Talking to people about how easy it is to better their health with real foods.

Being a Health Coach means that I can do both of these things! The freedom that comes with going your own way is pretty mind-boggling and also fantastic.

I can travel and do cooking demos for people where they learn not only how to cook but how easy it is to create healthy meals at home using real foods instead of relying on processed foods.

Cooking is great! It relaxes everyone and no matter what, everyone is happy whenever there is food involved, right?

Now just a few years ago, (heck even last year!), had you told me that I would be doing public speaking as part of my job, I would have laughed at you.

But here I am, giving workshops and demos to groups of people and I love it!

This is why I believe in pursuing your passion.  Find what you like doing the best and then make a living from it.

Sound simple?  It is, you just have to believe in yourself enough.

I truly feel that all of us in this life can do what makes us happy.  When we do what we love, the universe makes it happen.

All it takes is courage, support, and believing in yourself.

Maybe a bottle of wine too. Just for good measure of course.

  1. This post really made me smile – I’m so happy you are pursing your passion, and it’s inspiring to me to try and get my life in order! :) OH YEAH and have a bottle of wine TOO! :)

  2. I couldn’t NOT comment on this post – you just sound so happy! You are a brave lady for pursuing your passion. It’s hard to find a job that you are passionate about – I envy you!

    • Thanks Heather! It does seem daunting at first when you want to take the path less traveled but when you are true to yourself, things always go in your favor. :)

  3. I need posts like this sometimes, when I question my decision to quit my job and go back to school to pursue a new career – just reaffirms that even when things aren’t going exactly how I thought they might be at this point in time in my life, that I am on the right path to get to where I want to be.

    • Marianne, I have had those same moments. The, “ohmygosh what have I done?!” sweats. Ha! It’s hard to branch out and take that leap of faith but it’s worth it in the end.

Andrea, I’m so happy for you that you were able to find something that makes you happy. So many people either don’t figure out where their passions lie or don’t pursue a living doing it. For me, I’m still figuring out what I want to be when I grow up. :) Watching you pursue your goals is inspiring.

    • Heidi, thanks! Along with workshops and demos, I’m also looking to help people achieve the lifestyle they desire doing what they want to do. :)
