Rule #32

Rule #32: Enjoy the little things

Today was a great day! And it’s all because of the little things that I got to experience and/or accomplish today. I fully believe in celebrating all of our “ups” even if they might seem minor to someone else. We’ve got to find happiness where we can and appreciate what it brings into our life.

Today my happiness comes from:

  • Getting to sleep-in.
  • My sore throat being gone.
  • Getting lots of school work done.
  • Connecting with other students.
  • Focusing on my new and developing business.
  • Glorious coffee that Scott made.
  • A lovely 5 mile run.
  • Eeyore fleece jammie pants.
  • Hockey.
  • Talking with my favorite people on twitter.
  • Sushi!!

For me these are all things that made for a pretty fantastic Friday.

It’s the end of the day and I’m one happy girl.

Now I’m off to go roll up some sushi and sit down to a hockey game with my two boys. I’m going to have some wine later and maybe some chocolate.  Life is good!

Tell me what good things happened to you today!

  1. What would have made your day even better would have been if you watched “The Mummy Returns.” LOL.

My good thing is that I got in a workout! Two days in a row now- baby steps!

  2. What a great day you had!! Yesterday Jay and I worked out together and then made a great dinner together, too (stuffed peppers)! Then we both fell asleep cuddling on the couch. It was awesome. :)

  3. Yes, we have to appreciate the little things. Let’s see..my boys played hockey, got to sleep in a bit. I went for run along the hudson river. It’s a spring-like day. I just stocked up on some smoothie ingredients for the week. All pretty good, great blog.

  4. Thanks for checking in on the bloggie! It seems you’ve been a very busy girl! :)

My stress fracture is on my left foot. I don’t really know what it was that caused it . . . I’ve just been told it’s training.

Anywho – things are much better on the knee and back situation. I can still feel the fracture on the foot but the pain isn’t nearly as bad. It’s just frustrating to be benched for so long. Especially when I was so eager!
