Hi gang! I cannot even tell you how much I was looking forward to pizza! It’s been a long week full of ups, downs, and sleep deprivation. Okay maybe sleep deprivation is a bit dramatic but my sleep was messed up. Not because of time change, just because. Blah!
On to Pizza! Which is why you’re here, isn’t it?
- Spelt Crust
- Pizza Sauce
- Shredded moz and pepperjack
- Shredded carrot
- Red Onion
- Chopped artichoke
- Buffalo chicken sausage
- Hot sauce on top
It was delicious, glorious, and soul comforting.
I decided to try something a bit different and went with the pepperjack. I put it on top of all the toppings and it melted wonderfully. It wasn’t spicy at all really and the effect it had on the pizza was just a more glorious cheese component. Turned out yummy! Next time I might cut it down just a tad as it was almost too much cheese.
Yes there is such a thing!
Biggest accomplishment with this pizza? We achieved BUBBLE! I don’t know about you but we love bubbles. You know, a nice air pocket in the dough that puffs up and expands as the dough bakes? Those are highly coveted in these parts. We had bubble on this pizza AND it was all on my side.
It was delicious! Of course I got the evil eye stare down from Rocky because we save all our crusts for him and he also enjoys The Bubble but I ate my bubble with glee this week.
