November 12th, 2009: Back in the game!

Hi my pretties!  Last night when I got back from stick fighting class, I was a bit on the munchy side.  I guess my soup didn’t hold me over too long! :p

Tea

I had some tea and an oat bar + some oat bar crumbles.  Mmm mmm!  After my snackie, I headed up to bed.  I got sucked into reading for a bit and finally called it quits at 11:30.

This morning I was up and ready to go at 7am.  This time roles were reversed and I had to wake Rocky up and get him out of bed.  Take that!  Hopefully he’ll be the same way tomorrow when I get a chance to sleep in. ;)  I took care of him and bundled myself up for a run.  Ooo gang it was chillz this morning.  Heavy frost covered everything!  The sun was out and the sky was clear making for a fantastic morning run.

chocolate soymilk

The best part?  Knocking out five miles.  Hell yeah!  Back in action baby!  I had no issues at all during the run and cranked that out like it was nuttin’.  :woohoo:

I stretched really well and then a long glorious shower.

coffee, yogurt, and granola

Sadly again, the HQ seems to be running low on essentials.  We are out of soymilk which meant no oats this morning.  Zoinks!  I made a delicious fall inspired breakfast instead.  A bit of pumpkin puree mixed with yogurt and some cinnamon, a red delicious, and homemade granola.  I picked the biggest apple out of the bin and I still blasted through that bowl of goodness like it was nothing.  Rawr!

After breakfast, I ran Rockamuffin out for his walk.  It was so beautiful out this morning that we were able to cover a good bit of distance, probably around 2 miles.  Wooot!  He was worn out and I was energized and ready to tackle anything!

What I did end up tackling was going through more San Fran pics and doing a load of laundry.  Oh the excitement is overflowing in these parts!  I was le starvin’ for lunch and could not wait to dive into some produce love.

salad

Salad which tasted like coleslaw and was fantastic:

  • Mixed greens
  • Cabbage
  • Red onion
  • Shredded carrot
  • Shredded beet
  • Cucumber

Topped with maple balsamic dressing (homemade).

Smoothie

Smoothie:

  • 1C Carrot juice
  • 1.5C Unsweetened cranberry juice
  • .5C water
  • Spinach
  • 2 TBSP of pumpkin puree
  • 1 small apple
  • 1 banana
  • Frozen peaches

It got hit with the ugly stick at some point in the process but it had a great personality.

Smoothie and salad

The chips and salsa in the middle are for my luvs but I did snag a few chips.  Crunch!

After lunch I busted butt around the kitchen getting things cleaned up and prepped for dinner.  When I finally had a minute to sit down, I munched on a pear.  I would show you but I didn’t take a picture.  We all can picture a pear in our minds. :D

Then it was finally time to hit up muay thai conditioning class.  Ooo gang, ooo!  Totally got my butt kicked hard, it was awesome!  Scott almost suggested running to the store for some soymilk but then he remembered what day it was.
pizza

Pizza Thursday!  Holla!

  • Whole wheat crust (homemade)
  • Pizza sauce base
  • Shredded moz and parm
  • Red onion
  • Green pepper
  • Banana peppers
  • Shredded carrot
  • Artichoke
  • Cauliflower (on my side)
  • Turkey spicy Italian sausage (on Scott’s side)
  • Buffalo sauce (Scott)

Love you pizza Thursday!

pizza

I kicked those three pieces too!  I had a very small wine spritzer with dinner.  Tiny splash of white and seltzer.  I’m saving myself for the red wine to come!  :D  And there will be dessert in my future as well.  Wheee!!!

  1. Wow, it’s hard to imagine frost! It’s still so warm here in Arizona. Great job rocking that run, and your breakfast looks delicious, too. And the pizza, of course! Have a great night :)

  2. So Rocky is no longer miffed with you for going to SF without him? 8-)

I always love your split-side pizzas! We had to resort to Tombstone for our Pizza Night – late meeting with my group project-mates. But after a long day, any pizza hits the spot!

That’s funny – I had to drag Samantha out of bed today too.

And yesterday every time I moved even a millimeter she was “are we getting up? Huh? Huh?”
