August 13th, 2009: TGIT

Hi gang! When we got back from SF last night, we took Rocky out for a quick walk and then I immediately put on my jammies and crawled into bed.  Ahhhh! I was in bed by 10pm and was asleep before 11pm, hooray!

I must have gotten some great sleep because when my alarm went off at 6am, I was not super tired or groggy.  I took care of Rocks and then was out the door for my run.  Anyone else in Cbus run this morning?  Holy awesome weather, right?  It was flipping chilly out!  I had to wear a long sleeved shirt and capris for my run this morning.  Heaven!

I did 3.5 miles in 36 minutes putting me at under a 10:30 min/mile.  HELL YES!  I was stoked!  I had some CS and then back out for Rocky’s walk.

When we got back home, I stretched and then headed upstairs for a fabbo steamy shower.  By this point my bellah was yelling at me to feed it already.

I happily obliged.  Oh yeah, you know what it is!  Today was 1 peach and 1 nectarine with some coffee that was super awesome today.

After breakfast I started busting ass around the house getting stuff done.  My recap of our quick retreat was posted.  I got emails taken care of and I got some other projects either started or finished.

Then I dusted, swiffered, and mopped the downstairs.  Booya!

Scott’s been having business meetings all week.  He had one scheduled for 2pm today so lunch was going to be served around 1pm.  As I’m mopping the floor and it’s around 12:30, Scott says, “Oh yeah, I forgot to mention there’s a pre-call before the call. It’s at 1pm.”

Why yes, yes you did forget to mention that. :twitch:  Surprise!

I quick finished mopping and got busy making lunch.


Andrea salad:

  • Mixed greens
  • Cucumber
  • Shredded carrot and parsnip
  • Cranberries
  • Peanuts

With a balsamic mustard dressing.



  • 1.5C US cranberry juice
  • 1C OJ
  • .5C pineapple juice
  • Kale
  • Shredded carrot and parsnip
  • 3 fresh figs
  • Frozen peaches
  • Frozen mango
  • Frozen blueberries

I was dining solo today because of Scott’s call.  I served him his lunch in the office.

He had:

  • Smoothie (x2)
  • Egg sandwich on sandwich thin, with guacamole, salsa, and pepperjack cheese
  • Melons
  • Raw veggies + hummus

Not a shabby lunch, right? :D

Thank God It’s Thursday!  I am in love with today! :woohoo:

  • A lot of projects that were stressing me out are done and under control.
  • With my new 1/2 training schedule, tomorrow is a rest day! That means I can try and sleep in tomorrow morning.
  • Today wrapped up a great week of running with a fabbo pace. My pace has been under 11min/mile all week and I’m stoked!
  • It’s Thursday and you know what that means!  Dough is rising and all toppings have been prepped and are ready to go.
  • There will also be wine and dessert in my future this evening.

  1. I love that you have installed a weekly pizza night into your life. We do this with BFD (breakfast for dinner on Wednesdays)

    Ah, I’ve had peach oatmeal in my mind for days. This is going to be made this weekend for sure!
