Hi gang! Me and my butt slept in till 7:30 this morning! Woo! I got to bed crazy late (for me) but I will take 7:30 wake up! I took care of Rocks and realized that the humidity from yesterday did not go away.
I had some coffee and headed into the office to see what kind of damage was going on. Apparently I didn’t get a picture of the coffee! Whoops! I worked on yesterday’s post and checked in with some of you on your blogs. Then I made some breakfast.
We finally have granola back in the house, so granola it was! With some 2% Fage and an apple. YUM! After breakfast I got dressed and took Rocky around the block. It was way too humid/hot for him to have a longer walk. When we got home, he crashed out and I started laundry.
And then I started thinking about lunch and how fantastic it sounded. More specifically, how fantastic a smoothie sounded. Check out a new addition to the HQ today.
I saw Hangry Heather tried some and while I was at the grocery store yesterday, I spied a small bottle and decided to test it out. I had a small sip and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a lot sweeter than I expected and it was thick and creamy! Reminded me of the consistency of Silk soymilk. It was so good! Although I would not be able to drink a whole glass of just straight carrot juice, I can see it being handy to have around. I had Scott try some and his response was, “Yeah. It tastes like carrot juice.”
It was your basic Andrea lunch:
- Mixed greens
- Shredded carrot and parsnip
- Pumpkin seeds
White wine vinegar and olive oil on top.
Crackers for the Hummus Tub. HumTub?
- 1.5C US cranberry juice
- .5C Carrot juice
- .5C POM
- .5C OJ
- 1/2 a beet
- Frozen peaches
- Frozen mango
- Frozen blueberries
Oh this was such a creamy and delish smoothie! One of the best so far.
Lunch was great although I didn’t eat all of my salad. There were some leafy greens that I didn’t care for and it was a bit tough going down. I did eat most of it though.
Alright gang, I have to do more laundry, some officey stuff, and get emails out to people!
