Hi guys! I guess no one was into my bullet wound as much as I was. :p That’s okay, I’m used to being different!
I slept in this morning which ended up being both good and bad. Nice to sleep in, bad because as I was headed out the door for my run it started pouring rain. Booo! I haven’t run since Sunday and I’m itching to get out there. It’s still raining too! I had some coffee which I didn’t get a picture of but you all know what my coffee looks like by now.
And worked on yesterday’s post. Then I got Scott up and told him about being grumpy. At that moment I decided to stop being grumpy about it. It’s raining so I can’t change the situation, so why stress over it? It’s one day and tomorrow is a new day. I’ll live.
For breakfast the blueberries made an appearance but in oatbran this time! I loved it! Since it seems like ages that I last had oatbran, I gave it another go.
- 1 1/4C vanilla soymilk
- 1/3C oatbran
- Pinch of organic cane sugar (because I’m out of bananas. GASP!)
- Blueberries
- Raspberries
- 1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder
- 1TBSP of ground flax
With a small scoop of vanilla almond butter for a mix-in.
Then I putzed around doing this, that, and the other. And it was time for lunch!
Salad:
- Mixed greens
- Leftover salmon
- Shredded carrot, zucchini, parsnip
- Cucumber
- Raisins
- Sunflower and pumpkin seeds
Honey-mustard dressing on top.
Fruit, still with the melons.
Crackers for salsa!
Lunch! I know you’re wondering where the smoothie is at so I’ll tell you. Scott and I are going out on the town tonight for a new adventure! I’m saving the smoothie to be part of our pre-party eats.
And with that I’m out! I’ve got to pick out our clothes for this evening and do a few other things around the house to get ready. Catch you all tomorrow as I don’t think I’ll have time to post again later tonight.
That’s a great lunch – so much better than mine, which was oatmeal. I was sooooo lazy . . .
I must try this oatbran recipe!!!!
