June 8th, 2009: Cheesetastic

Hi guys! While Scott was out doing the man thing and mowing the yard (In our house it’s the man thing cause I’m not doing it) I got a bit hungry and there was no way I would be able to hold out for dinner.

Sliced pear and two prunes

Enter in a lovely pear and two prunes.  Mmm perfect snackie as I read my book.  I got some nice quality time in with my book yesterday which was quite relaxing.  It seems like it’s been ages since I’ve read because I have been going to bed too late.

I contemplated on what to make for dinner.  It was a nice evening and we could have grilled but what I really wanted to do was sit on the couch with a huge bowl of something and relax with my loves.  So that’s what we did!

Cheesy pasta

Enter in cheesey pumpkin pasta with other veggie goodness thrown in.  YUM!

Cheesy pumpkin pasta

Artichoke hearts are in there, sundried tomatoes, some chicken sausage, just to name a few things.

It was awesome!  Scott and I chilled on the couch and watched an old movie, (It was Fury, Heather).  I went back in for another small bite, I love this pasta!

We finished the evening and the movie with a glass of wine.

Wine glasses

And then we moved on to more wine and a cookie!

Mexican Wedding Cookies

Another glass of the same wine and some Mexican Wedding cookies I picked up from WF.  I had 1.5, they were so good!  While we ate this snack and nursed the second glass of wine we watched The Prisioner (1967).  Goodness this show is so crackheaded and cheesy it’s fantastic!  It can be a little slow moving but the 60s idea of futuristic totally makes up for it.

Then I was in bed and asleep by the glorious time of 10:30pm!  It was the most perfect Sunday. :cheerful:
