June 17th, 2009: Poo-poo

Hi guys!  I would love to start this post off telling you about my awesome sleep I had last night because I was in bed by 10pm. But alas, that is not the case.  I couldn’t shut my brain off and if I wasn’t thinking about things I have to do today then I was dreaming about them. Ugh!  I got up around 7:30 and headed downstairs for some much needed coffee and evil creamer.

Mug of coffee

No run this morning because I just don’t have time today.  Very sad. :(  I worked on posts while sipping on coffee.  If you haven’t seen it yet, this month’s Feet on the Street feature is up and it’s Heather!  Check it out! :D

I headed up to shower and wake up Scotty-loves.  Then I made a light and quick breakfast.

Yogurt, granola and frozen fruit

I’m stressed out and my stomach is in knots so a heavy fiberific breakfast would not have been a wise choice.  I had some granola and yogurt with cranberries and frozen raspberries.

Then Rocks and I headed out for a walk.  While out on the walk I dropped the bag that held Rocky’s  poo and then I promptly stepped on it.  Thankfully it was in a bag so no direct contact.  However I’m hoping this is not some sort of foreshadowing message of how my day is going to go.  When we got back I busted around the house focusing on things that needed focused on today.  Then it was lunch time. Still kept things simple.

Smoothie

Smoothie!

  • Almost a cup of vanilla almond milk
  • Splash of POM
  • 1C unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 1C water
  • Bunch of kale
  • Carrot
  • Frozen pineapple
  • Frozen mango
  • Frozen blueberries

Burrito and smoothie

Amy’s bean and rice burrito with cheddar.  Everything was tasty, I just wish my tum was in more of a mood to handle it.

I actually did go a little heavier foodwise with dinner.  I was hungry by this point and a little bit more relaxed about things.  I have been craving (what is with all these cravings lately?!) salmon patties, so that’s what I made.  I know we just had fish last night, but whatevs. :D

Salmon patty

Salmon patties, slightly different this time in that I added some shredded carrot and zucchini.  I also used the ground flax+water combo instead of an egg.

Greenbeans

Unspectacular frozen green beans that I heated up in a little broth and buffalo sauce.

It was a really great dinner that totally hit the spot.  I’m out guys, off to SF class.  Just a few more hours and I can call this crazy day done and get on with regular life. :D  Hooray!
