May 7th, 2009: Breakfast and lunch

Hi guys!  I have to bust this out because I need to get ready for date night.  Yikes the day got away from me!  After SF class last night I was ravenous.  Goodness!  And all I wanted most in the world was another WW pita with PB+ honey.

After foam rolling my leg, that’s what I had!  Plus two plumes (prunes, whatevs) on the side for extra fiber kick.  It was a glorious snack.  I watched the first period of yesterday’s Pens game and then I hit the hay.  I slept so soundly it was crazy.  I was out 100%.

I got up this morning around 8ish and was starving again.  Why, hello, PMS. Way to make an entrance.  After taking care of Rocks, I rolled ye leg and then had some coffee.

Then I did worky stuff and then I woke up my loves.  After that it was off to the kitch for some oatbran!  I haven’t had any in a while and I needed a filling breakfast today since lunch would be late.

I meant to add extra fruit and forgot.  Whoops!  Basic oatbran concoction with coconut, walnuts, and a scoop of cashew butter for mix-ins.  I read blogs and pissed around in the office for bit.  Grabbed Rocks and got his walk done and over with.  Then it was time to head out to get my face defuzzed and my other hairs trimmed.  I love when I get to see my stylist and eyebrow chick. :cheerful:

After maintenance, we hit up WF for a quick trip and lunch pickup.  I found a double stout beer which made me happy but I lost b-nut puree because they only sell it during the holidays.  What’s that all about Whole Foods?!  You sell pumpkin all year long, hook us up with the b-nut!  I picked up something new for lunch!

Easy and light

Easy and light

Sweet chili vegan sushi.  Hell yes!

  • Brown rice
  • Avocado
  • Carrots
  • Vegan nugget (awesome!)
  • Cucumber
  • Spinach
  • Wrapped in lettuce instead of seaweed (not sure what kind of lettuce though)

Dip them into a sweet and spicy chili sauce.  Fantastic!  I had three of those, some general Tso’s vegan nuggets, and a wee peice of Scott’s pizza.  On the side was a smoothie!

  • 2C cranberry juice (unsweetened)
  • 1C water
  • Huge bunch of kale
  • 1 medium carrot
  • Bunch of cantaloupe
  • Frozen mango
  • Frozen blueberries
  • 1 kiwi

YUM! And a lovely blue brown color.  Lunch was late today due to our WF stop, because of that and because we are going out tonight to a foodie indulgence, I kept lunch light.  I wanted to make sure I got in my veggies and fruit before going out.  I think with the smoothie and the veggies in the sushi roll, I’m doing okay.  I could use more but I’m cool with what I have eaten.

Foodie Event

Scott and I are headed out to an event tonight called, Taste of the Independents.  I’ll go into more detail tomorrow for my full recap of course!  But the idea behind the event is to make you aware of local restaurants around town.  Tonight at the event, 40+ local restaruants will be there serving up samples of their food. You can talk to them about their restaurant and learn the ins and outs, like what type of cuisine they focus on, what kind of dining experience they provide and so on.  You do purchase a ticket in order to attend the event and it’s well worth it!  I can’t wait to sample all kinds of things this evening. :)  Procedes from the event goes towards a local chariety.  Not only will we get to learn more about the awesome restaurants in Columbus but support a great cause as well.  I’m so excited! :swingdance:

This post was brought to you without a reread and editing. Be nice, I gotta boogie out!
