Hi guys! Can we discuss my undies for a second? I have a story about them which is hilarious and totally embarrassing at the same time. First some background! About two months ago Scott and I were in the car on our way to a martial arts class. He was wrapping his hands with hand wraps (what boxers wear) when I noticed something sticking to the bottom of his wrap. Yup, a black pair of my undies. Whoops! I pulled it off and stashed it under the blanket that covers the backseat. The reason the two even met is because I wash wraps and delicates in a mesh laundry bag. He pulled his wraps out not thinking anything about it, but they had a friend. Good thing we caught it before we were in class! Oh how we laughed.
Whew crisis averted! Somehow the undies end up in the trunk and I think it’s from rolling the blanket up and shoving it in the trunk when we had company over. I think but I’m not positive. I completely forgot all about them!
Last night we did end up going to the grocery store. It actually was nice, no one was around really so shopping was a breeze. We did have a slight encounter with a gentleman in the canned tuna/salmon section who first started talking to us about herring but it somehow derailed into how handy those yogurt drinks (smoothies?) are. Because when it’s too early in the morning to grab a beer you can have one of those instead. I bet you didn’t know that did you? Neither did I. Try to learn something new everyday kids, that’s the goal. That was one of my lessons yesterday.
My other lesson came at the checkout. I told the cashier that we had some bags and plopped our reusable bags down on the counter. I was standing there while Scott was unloading the cart. I noticed something darker mixed in with our bags and thought that one of the handles got wet somehow. Then I noticed Scott giving me bug eyes and looking at the bags. It took me two seconds to realize that holy shit that’s my undies sitting there, not a wet handle. I picked up a packed bag and the undies, squirreling them away as quickly and covertly as I could. I’m sure the cashier saw them but at least she was a chick. I’m not sure if that makes the situation any better but I’m pretending it does. I was trying not to crack up because let’s be honest, that’s effing hilarious. Once the groceries were bagged we bolted and didn’t look back.
The moral of the story is, if you use reusable bags, double check to make sure your undies aren’t frolicking along with them. At least mine were 1. attractive and 2. just washed. Silver lining people!
By the time we were done shopping, putting away groceries, and sitting down for the day it was 10pm. I know, crazy! I was also starving. Yesterday it seems that my stomach would not stay full. I had a snack.
I busted out some garlic hummus which I was afraid of at first but it’s flipping fantastic. Kashi crackers and two slices of sheep’s milk cheese. I had the smaller one and gave the other to Scott. Then I went back in for a bigger piece! And two very small glasses of wine. Oh and there’s a laughing cow wedge there, and I had two crackers with that. The rest Scott ate. It was 11pm and I crashed out in bed.
Normally I get up at 7am on Saturdays but decided to try and sleep till 8am. I was close, woo! I got up and got Rocks taken care of, then I poured myself some coffee.
Which was totally amazing today. Partly due to the Meijer Organic creamer which is actually the best creamer yet. It’s so good and makes the coffee taste creamy dreamy. After watching some rich people landscape their backyard (Dude was using all marble. Told you, rich) and once Scott got up, I made breakfast.
No cold oats this morning, just regular oats. With a banana, raspberries, and blueberries. Mmm! Mix-ins were crushed walnuts and a small scoop of almond butter. I also had a little bit more coffee which turned into just a few sips and then I was done. I watched a little bit more TV and then it was off to MT class for some all around butt-kicking fun.
After class we headed over to Sam’s to get a few things. I like getting salad mix from there because it’s cheaper and seems more fresh. Because we only needed a few things that allowed us a little bit more time to look around. I never look at their clothes but I did today and holy crap maybe I should pay more attention! I got two pairs of really nice sweatpants for $11 each with an original price tag of $54. What the wha?! Who pays $54 for some sweatpants? Good lord. I also got jammie pants, two sets of two for $13 each. And a set of two pairs of yoga capris for $20. Oh yeah! And we got some wine and various other fun things. I also snagged a sample of Kung Pow Chicken which was horrible. I needed something in my stomach because I was starving but I didn’t have my purse so there was no emergency bar available to me. This had no flavor and was totally processed tasting, yuck! But I ate it and I’m over it.
Finally back home and bags unloaded, I made some lunch! Super super quick:
One small slice and 1/2 a slice of leftover pizza. Cold because that’s how I roll.
And a very easy salad:
- Mixed greens
- Blueberry granola
- A nut trail mix sort of stuff
Dressed with balsamic and olive oil.
No fruit because I had extra this morning and because my main goal was to get something in the tum quickly. I forgot to take an overall shot till after I started eating, that’s why things are in disarray. :p I ate the pizza but not all of the salad. I may try to squeeze in some fruit because I would like some.
Laying on his new bed. I’m slowly changing out his old beds with new ones. I got this today at Sam’s and he had to test it out right away. :p
