May 28th, 2009: Pizza Thursday!

Hi guys!  I did indeed have my smoothie later as I felt a bit empty.

Blue Beastie

Blue Beastie

  • 1C vanilla soymilk
  • 1C unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 1C water
  • Kale
  • Frozen peaches
  • Frozen mango
  • Frozen blueberries

It was a fabbo blue beastie.  Then right before MT class, I had a small snack.

Yogurt and granola.  Very small, like a spoonful of yogurt and a bit of granola.  I didn’t need anything too substantial, just a little something for some extra energy.

It’s been so hot/humid here lately and my hair isn’t long enough for a straightup pony-tail.  But I need to do something to get it off my neck and out of my face when I work out.

Can you see Rocky?

Can you see Rocky?

That means I’m rockin’ the Livy style pig-tails.  So what I’m in my 30s?  This ‘do never goes out of style and it keeps the hairs outta my face when I’m getting my sweat on.  Woo!  That’s the best picture, all the others made me look like I had some weird gigantic man-neck happenin’.

Conditioning class kicked my butt today.  It was awesome!  I love that class so much and I felt so energized afterwards.  Total exercise high.  I was also able to make it through the entire class doing regular pushups, I didn’t have to go to my knees once.  I can’t tell you how many we did total but it was a lot.

After class it was raining so unfortunately no evening walk for Rocks.  I got started on dinner right away though because I was Hungry!

Pizza Thursday

Pizza Thursday

Pizza Thursday, you love it!  I debated for a long time about what kind to make and finally decided on my fave, veggie.  Light on the sauce and cheese for my side.

  • Shredded carrots and zucchini (under the cheese)
  • Chopped broccoli
  • Red onion
  • Chopped artichokes
  • Chopped banana peppers
  • Spicy Italian sausage (Scott’s side)
  • Buffalo sauce on Scott’s side

Veggie goodness

Veggie goodness

Goodness I love Pizza Thursdays!  I’m with Meghann, pizza is not a junk food.  It can be a completely healthy and fabbo meal.  I had two slices and that was plenty for me.  The veggies really bump up the content and keep me satisfied.  You know we kicked it with some Antiques Roadshow while munching on our pizza because we’re secretly in our 60s.

Now I’m hoping to start putting a dent in 24 and get that show finished.  I also think there is some wine and possibly chocolate in my future.  Off to chill, later guys!

  1. I was going to say that your idea with the pigtails is ingenious (my hairstyle would require something similar) but then I saw that I do that hairstyle every day. I can send you some bows. And bribe you to sit still with goldfish crackers…

  2. THe ponytails are cute — I was glad to see you don’t have a straight part. I see women with straight parts on the back of their head and it seems a little Exorcist-like to me.
