Hi guys!  I totally didn’t intend for this to be a full day recap but we switched the office around today which literally took all day long.  I had to unplug the computer and didn’t get it plugged back in till after 6pm.  Whew!  So far I’m loving this new set up!  The office is starting to look like a nice professional office and not some junk room that we also happen to work in.  I was feeling so stifled and icky in the old version!

I didn’t have the greatest sleep last night and woke up early this morning.  I got Rocks taken care of and it was beautiful outside!  I immediately threw open the sliding glass door to let in some fresh air.  Ahhhh that is the best!  Getting rid of the old stale winter air and letting in some fresh smelling breezes!

I grabbed a mug of coffee and headed into the “old” office.  I worked on last night’s recap and thanks to all for your kind words!  It’s just weird to have someone you just met make fun of you.  I’m like, what?  Is this middle school?

I did my PhysT stretches on both legs and then iced my right knee.  Then I made some breakfast because I was a bit hungry.

Yogurt and granola, mmmm.  With a little more coffee. :D

I got Scott up so he could get started on his day.  Once he was up, I was free to move around the upstairs and start getting our “utility” room better organized.  It’s where all our workout gear, martial arts gear, and some of Scott’s dress clothes live.  It’s a mess.  Basically we need more dressers and drawers in this house.  Not much we can do about the small closet space so getting some new drawer sets are our only option.  There’s a new second hand shop that’s just opened down the street so I think we’re going to take a look over there and see if they have anything in our budget.  I would like an actual nice piece of furniture instead of some MDF cheap thing from Target.  But if all I can find is Target stuff, I’ll use it!

After getting the utility room in better shape, I came downstairs and made us some smoothies.  Smoothies are my way to sort of fight back against icky food from either the day before or earlier that day.  I needed to get some fresh and raw vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in my system!

Pretty purple!  Only frozen blueberries today so it wasn’t quite as cold as I would have liked but it did the trick.

  • 2C unsweetened cranberry juice
  • 1 C OJ
  • 2 huge handfuls of kale, stemmed
  • 1 banana
  • 1 large carrot, chunked
  • Blackberries
  • Frozen blueberries

Very yummy!

After the smoothie break, Scott got started disassembling the desks to make the switch.   I heated up lunch.

Easy leftover pizza.  I had two small slices.  After lunch, I worked on some dinner prep.  I decided to make a nice “summer” dinner for this evening.  After I finished that and cleaned the kitchen, I helped Scott with the office.  I shut down all my machines and he moved stuff off of the desk.  The old desk went upstairs and the new desk came down.  I fed Rocky dinner as Scott was putting together the new desk.  A little while later the new desk was up and ready for work!  I got things where I wanted them to go knowing that full organization would occur over the next day or so.  Then I rearranged some other things and goodness!  Everything looks so much better and there seems to be so much more room!

Our office is a tiny space, 10.5’x10.5′ and two of us have to fit in here.  Plus room for the printer and a bed for Rocky.  Squishy!  The new set up sort of opens the room up a bit more.  Which helps me feel less cluttered and my brain doesn’t feel like exploding. :p  After all this was done it was time to relax and make some supper!  Hooray!!!

While dinner was cooking, we munched on some salsa and chips.  I also had a POM fizzie.  There are 365 blue tortilla chips, FoodShouldTasteGood multigrain and jalapeno chips in the basket.  I had a few jalapeno (3) and a few multigrain (3) with salsa.

Dinner was burgers!  It was too late to grill outside so I used my grill pan for these beauties.  I made mini’s for me and regular size for Scott.  There was also a white bean salad with red onion, tomato, and broccoli.  Deviled eggs also made an appearance (no mayo in these).  Mmmm dinner was so good!

His and Hers shot.  I get the mini burger and more salad. :p  The cheese on top is pepperjack.  We watched a bit of the Pens game while eating and now I’m off to finish it!  And rest up, I’m going to try and do 5-6 miles tomorrow.  And I’m running a new trail which I’m sorta nervous about.  Wish me luck!
