Hi guys! While watching The Life Aquatic (one of my all time favorite movies, couldn’t even tell you how many times I’ve watched it) last night I had two of these.
The second one accompanied by some dark chocolate chips. No pic because I was so lazy last night. I have no idea how I stayed up till midnight. :o We watched the movie and then watched a few behind the scenes footage. Hoping to finish up the bonus footage tonight with more wine and while wearing my robe. Mmmm heaven!
But moving along to the present!
This morning lovely Rocks graciously allowed me to sleep in till 8:30am. Hooray! I was still tired though. :p I got Rocky taken care of and it was cold outside. Not long after we came back in it started raining. Booo I probably don’t even need to tell you how thankful I am that today is a rest day! I poured a cup of coffee and headed into the office. I was still so tired that I totally forgot to take a picture!
Thankfully dress codes are non-existent at my work which means I got to wear my robe today. I could use a new pair of fuzzy slippers, mine are very stretched out.
After a bit Scott got up and I made us a quick and light breakfast.
Kashi waffle with some cashew butter on top. This was my first time with cashew butter and I have to say it wasn’t bad. It was unsalted and could have used just a touch of salt to help bring out the flavor but otherwise it was very creamy and delish. I also had another 1/2 mug of coffee.
It’s Monday, so it was business as usual around here. I’m still in organization mode and am hoping to make some big changes in the office today! The weather is so crappy. It’s cold and it keeps switching from rain to snow to freezing rain back to snow. However it’s very wet outside which means the snow isn’t sticking, just being a wet glopy mess. A very nice day for staying inside all snug!
After a bit it was time for lunch which I’m titling Halfsies.
My spread was a small bowl of Wolfgang Puck’s tortilla soup that I added some extra pinto and brown rice to. A slice of fiber & flax bread with not Sabra hummus on it, and a salad:
- Mixed greens
- Chopped carrot
- Sunflower and pumpkin seeds
- Blueberry granola
Topped with balsamic, a bit of honey, and some olive oil. I ate 1/2 of everything, hence Halfsies Lunch. Now it’s time to knock some stuff off the to-do list, finish laundry, and get supper started. It’s soup so it will need to simmer for a bit. Mmmmmm
