Hi guys!  I was so exhausted last night. :tired: Scott and I sat down to watch a Planet Earth segment at 9pm and it was all I could do to keep my eyes open.  I think I even fell asleep a few times. :p  Finally once it was over I headed up to bed and had a glorious sleep.  I could have slept a little bit longer but needed to get up and moving this morning.

I took care of Rocky and it was an amazing Spring morning.  It was overcast and gloomy, yes, but the warmer temp was awesome.  Once back inside I poured myself a cup (no pic because the mug looked icky) and headed to the computer to do a few things.  Eventually it was time for some breakfast.  I contemplated oats or oatbran but realized that what my body needed was a big yogurt mess!

Hooray for yogurt!  I had probably 1/3C of 2% fage mixed with:

  • Vanilla whey powder
  • 1/2 TBSP ground flax
  • Cranberries
  • 1/2 of a banana sliced
  • Fruit and nut granola bear naked style

Heaven!  I did some bloggity stuff and starting putting together things for a giveaway post (oooo) and then got dressed for MT class this morning.  It was already in the mid60s when we left for class this morning.  Holy cow!  That was supposed to be the high so I assumed the temps were going to keep rising.

We were able to have the bay door open today during class since it was so warm which made class awesome.  It was nice to be able to get some fresh air inside circulating around.

After class, Scott and I ran some quick errands and then it was home to lunch.

I know this doesn’t look like much, but for Saturday lunch it’s good.  I’m going to try and keep Saturday lunches lighter from now on.  We eat so late in the afternoon and if we do something before heading home, it’s even later.  And I usually still make dinner in the evening.  I don’t know need a huge lunch to hold me over till dinner, I’ve realized.  I just need something small.  Today’s lunch was some General Tso’s vegan nuggets from WF that I added some chopped carrots and spinach to.  And a purple monster. :D

  • 2.5C of orange juice
  • 2 kale leaves, stemmed
  • 1 thick medium carrot, chunked
  • Frozen blueberries
  • Frozen pineapple
  • Frozen peaches
  • 1 medium banana

And it came out a pretty purple (although in the pic it looks brown).  YUM!  This lunch totally hit the spot and I am in love with those stupid nuggets.  I asked the worker when I got them what they were and he said they are made by Soy Delicious and I should be able to buy some plain ones for home.  Man I hope so!

After lunch we walked Rocky and then it was finally time to hit the showers.  After my shower I put on shorts and a tank top because it is in the mid-70s! :o  I know, crazy!  I wonder how long it’s going to last.  I’m hoping the rain holds off at least until I get my long run done tomorrow.

Scott and I hung out for a bit looking at website stuff and talking shop and had a small snack.

Kettle brand baked cheddar chips, right out of the bag like animals.  I had maybe 7?  And then put them away so I wouldn’t mindlessly pick at them.

Then it was time to make dinner. I had this planned for last night but since I didn’t feel like it, I pushed it on to today.

Scott had grilled WF hotdogs and I was going to make myself some chicken sausage.  However I wasn’t in the mood for that, I wanted veggies and sausage seemed a little too heavy.  I marinated and then grilled some zucchini for myself.  On a 1/4 piece of a mini ciabatta bread.  Topped with sauerkraut, onions, and green peppers.  Mmm and on the side, sweet potato cheese fries!  Baked sweet potato fries with shredded pepperjack and cheddar.  Sweet potato and cheese, such a great combo! Scott had an 1888 boch with dinner that I had about 3 sips of.  Wasn’t feeling the beer and might have a glass of wine later.

Dinner was awesome!  My stuff kept falling off the bread so I ditched it and just ate the zucchini and sauerkraut together.  Mmmm

Time to relax!  I got some more packages this week that I need to share with you all tomorrow.  We have the sliding glass door open and are enjoying the warmer weather.  Maybe I’ll even get to wear a t-shirt tomorrow for my long run!

  1. I must say you have enormous will power to only take a few kettle chips, even the baked ones. I’m so addicted to them, that I have a really difficult time with portion control.
