Hi guys! One post today because this morning and afternoon I was sort of feeling blah. I woke up to a very sore throat, sneezing, and blowing my nose like I own stock with Kleenex. I felt like crap.
I had a cup of fuel which was a surprise today, Peppermint mocha! Awesome! I read some blogs and all that happy stuff. Scott got up and we discussed me going to class. I decided that it was best not to possibly spread my germs so I stayed home. That makes a week of no MT now! Grrr! Stupid cold! I think my throat is getting better, it’s more just night time and no water that dries it out. I did take some dayquil today though to help my sneeziness. Eventually I got hungry and moved to oats.
Basic oats with some dark chocolate PB. Ugh this was rough going down. It just didn’t taste good and the texture and heaviness of it didn’t sit well in my tum. Bleck. After doing some work and walking Rocky it was time for lunch.
I realize that I’m moving through this stuff quickly, but honestly there wasn’t much to my day other than me taking it easy.
Lunch was WF 365 brand minestrone and a smoothie on the side. Kashi crackers for dunking. I’m trying to get in fresh fruits, juices, and veggies to help kick this stupid cold!
- 3 cups of OJ
- 2 big kale leaves, stemmed
- 1 carrot
- 1 banana
- Frozen blueberries and raspberries
- Frozen pineapple
It was awesome and such a pretty deep purple sorta red color. Lunch made me feel like crap! The smoothie was good but the soup was icky. I don’t know if everything was too heavy or what but it took me a while to get over the yuck factor. After lunch Scott and I chilled on the couch playing some Lego Batman. We’re in freeplay mode which is fantastic because you get to do all the things you couldn’t before! Then it was time for dinner.
Quick udon noodles with veggies and some vegan nuggets that I bought from WF. Mmmmmm! This was the best meal of the day! Didn’t weigh me down nor did I have trouble eating it. In the back is a splash of blood orange Italian soda mixed with some seltzer. Just enough soda for extra flavor but not so much that it was puckering sweet.
Now it’s off for more chilling. Taking it easy so I get in 8 miles tomorrow!
