March 11th, 2009: Breakfast and lunch

Hi guys!  Last night was such an awful night for sleeping.  I’m not even going to get into it because I’m done with cranky and want to put it behind me already!

wakeup call

wakeup call

I got up this morning and had a headache, so I took some ibuprofen.  I had a smidge of coffee and a slice of oatnut bread with PB+honey to get something in my tummy.  I didn’t want to eat too much because Scott was taking me out to breakfast for part of birthday week today!  I love going out to breakfast!

After a bit it was time to go see my favorite defuzzer to get my face back to purty.  When I can see my stash as I’m eating, guys it’s time to get that taken care of!  Luckily it’s not crazy dark or anything just fuzzy. :p  Anyway, I love seeing her because she has such a positive and happy energy and she always makes me feel better.  I can’t help but be in a better mood when I leave!  We talked about running and my upcoming 1/2.  Eeek!  Then it was time for breakfast with my babes!

Oh First Watch, how I adore you.  I love going out to breakfast or going out and ordering coffee.  I have no idea why but it feels so grownup and professional to me.  We started off with some coffee of course and then it was on to the meal!

I ordered a ton of food because it’s my birthday week and I’m indulging!  The Trifecta, oh yeah!  Beligan waffle, scrambled egges, turkey sausage, and some potatoes on the side.  No ketchup because they only have the HFCS stuff.  Salt and Pep on the eggs.  I cut my waffle in half and poured a bit of syrup on the plate for dipping.  I dipped about 3 bites before I realized that syrup was probably HFCS laden as well and not real maple syrup.  So I stopped dipping and that’s okay because the waffle straight is so good! That’s a bit of blueberry syrup in the ramekin but I didn’t eat that (I never do).  I also got rid of that scoop of “butter”, don’t need that either (plus I don’t like butter on waffles or pancakes.  Weird?  Not to me. :D ).  Check out Scott’s meal!

He had the special of the day, huevos rancheros.  I had a few bites and it was so good!  Scrambled egges, beans, veggie chili, salsa, loads of avocados, and cheese.  With tortillas for dipping!  So yummy!

And next thing I knew, I was full!  I didn’t eat all of that though but I did put a good dent in it. :D  On the way back it was time to stop at the post office and looky, I got prezzies!

Goodies

Goodies

First from my friend, T.  Some ceramics his son made, a mini deck of cards (seriously how cute is that?!), and some coinage from different countries.  My fave coin (and Scott’s!) has an owl on it.  How cool!!

Hooray yogurt!

And then Kristina from Stoneyfield sent me some coupons for their products.  YaY!

And then as I was typing this up, a huge package arrived on my doorstep. :o  Holy cow!!  It was from my Mom.  Check it out.

It’s my second trifecta of the day!  Feeling uber special! :cheerful:  Crankiness behind me!

I’m off to put my house in order and plan out tonights super special dinner. :swingdance:
