February 8th, 2009: Breakfast and lunch

Hi lovelies!  I woke up at 7:30 this morning to the sun shining.  Ah, what a great way to wake up!  I took Rocky out for his morning potty run and it was so warm outside.  YaY!

I ate half a spooky s’mores Z bar because I decided to get moving and get running!  I only needed one pair of pants today and wore my hoodie, no heavy jacket needed.  That was so nice!  I had my toboggan on still because it was a wee bit cool and I knew my ears would get cold.  I decided to just do a 3.5 run but bust it out and step up my pace.  It was a little slow going at first for some reason but I eventually got moving and was able to keep my HR up in the 170s the whole time, go me!

It was beautiful outside! The sun was shining, it was warm, and I was busting a move.  I eventually even got hot and had to unzip my hoodie to help get air circulating.  I wasn’t real thrilled with my time even though I was going what was fast for me, but whatevs.  I was moving and grooving and that’s really what it’s all about for me at this point.

I drank my CS when I got back home and hit the floor for some yoga goodness.  I decided to wait on Rocky’s walk and take him with Scott later.  After yoga it was time for some breakfast and coffee.

Peppermint coffee!  So good!  And some 2% fage with chocolate bear naked and cranberries.  So good!

I did some bloggy work and read some blogs while I ate my snack.  Then it was time to get Scott up and get cracking on Sunday Breakfast.  I know it doesn’t seem like it, but about 2+ hours had passed at this point.

I didn’t want anything too heavy today.  I decided on things that we would pick at. :D  I made us some small salads with:

  • Romaine
  • Spinach
  • Walnuts
  • Almonds
  • Cranberries
  • Goat cheese

Topped with balsamic dressing made from my new Fig balasmic!  Very tasty!  We also had cut up oranges, hard boiled eggs (which turned out perfectly this morning) and some turkey bacon.  I ate all of my salad, two slices of bacon, and 2 quarters of egg.  Plus a few oranges slices.   Washed down with a mim-faux-sa.

Now I’m off to get dressed so we can go shopping!  Not a Sunday at home today, we have some errands that need to get done.  See you guys later!

  1. Ok so I am really jealous that you still have a spooky s’mores Zbar! I should have stocked up when I had the chance!!

It was nice here today, too! If only it could last! I’m glad that you had a good run :) Your salad looks delicious!
