Hi guys! So sorry this didn’t get posted yesterday but by the time we were done with dinner it was 9:30pm. :o I know! So I was a little too pooped to sit at the computer and type up a post.
MT was awesome yesterday but I did walk away with a nice bruise on my shin. :p I was throwing a right round and caught my partner right on her knee. Even with shin guards on that hurts. But it’s no big deal, it happens. After class Scott and I ran to Sam’s quick for a few things. I looked to see if they had any more crack but alas that is gone. Boo! I got some new books, hardcovers for $5, not too shabby.
Once we got home I made us some lunchie.
I wasn’t terribly hungry so I sort of just picked at everything. There are leftover spring roll, carrots, and apricots on one plate. BBQ vegan bits on another and then leftovers from Friday’s dinner for Scott and I to share. I had all the carrots and two apricots. I think maybe 3 vegan bites. The veggies, 1 scallop, and a bite of shrimp from the leftovers. Still tasty the next day!
After lunch it was a quick shower and then I read for a little bit while Scotty-love napped. I am so into my book right now. It’s the third book of a series and this one is so action packed. I just got to a section that has me going, “oh my god!” and, “Oh snap, I can’t believe that just happened!”. :p I love reading and am confounded by folks who don’t. Reading is such a great escape and way to expand the mind. I’m very thankful my parents supported reading from an early age. My dad even signed me up for a book of the month type club when I was a kid and I still have those books today.
I took a break to feed the Rockster and run him outside. Then I sat down to paint my nails so I can be purty for Scott’s b-day week! I had a small girlie fit when I had to repaint my thumbs 4 times because they kept smudging and not working out. That’s about as girlie as I get kids. I would not in any way be described as a girlie girl!
Once Scott woke up from his nap we took Rocky out for a walk and when we came back it was time to start dinner. I wasn’t very hungry actually but I knew Scott would need some dinner. Plus it’s the start of b-day week so I had to make something special for him.
Before dinner we had a few snackies.
- Bread and olive oil
- Cubed good swiss from WF
- Sun-dried tomato and basil goat cheese
- Kashi veggie crackers
I had 2 pieces of bead + oil, 3 kashi crackers + goat cheese, and 2 cubes of swiss. Can’t. Resist. Cheese. Everything was so good! Along with snackies we had wine fizzies. Seltzer + pinot grigo. Mine was mostly seltzer with just a splash of wine, about 1/4 C if that.
For dinner we had fish and veggies. I also made him some rice because fish + rice is his fave combo. It was flounder that I baked in the oven with a little breadcrumbs and grated parm on top. We also had roasted zucchini and asparagus (Scott loves asparagus. Are you noticing a theme yet? ). I had a 1/2 fillet and some veggies. I left three of the zucchini sticks I think. With another wine fizzie.
After dinner we sat down to watch some BSG. I had a full glass of piesporter which I nursed the entire time we watched TV. So much so that Scott had two glasses to my one and I believe at one point he asked me if I needed a nipple for my glass.
For a small dessert I had 3 maltballs. YUM! And then I finally hit the hay around 11:30, past my bedtime! :p
