Hi guys! I’ve been super busy doing nothing at all and it’s been fantastic.
After posting I went in and poured some coffee; it was coconut creme. So good! I sat on the couch with Rocks, my coffee, and my word find for a bit. Then I got up to make a quick breakfast.
Honey wheat english muffin with a smidge of butter and cinnamon sugar. It was light and totally hit the spot. And then it was back to my word find. :p Scott got up and then I got up to start breakfast/lunch. We had some leftover breakfast sausage so I made sausage gravy with it!
I couldn’t even tell you the last time we had this. I made it slightly “better” with WW pastry flour, 1/2&1/2, and chicken broth (instead of straight cream), and added some chopped spinach as well. I was going to add some pumpkin to it but the pumpkin seemed off so I left it out.
We had that with 12 grain toasted bread. I dipped mine for better portion control. In the middle are two oranges. I cleaned everything up!
After doing the dishes, we plopped down on the couch and played a little more Left 4 Dead. We are at the end of the first level and played that all. day. long. UGH! I love gaming but holy crap this last level is driving me bonkers. Eventually it was 5:30pm and time to start dinner and feed Rocks.
I kept it simple. I roasted some more carrots (olive oil, teriyaki sauce, curry powder, and garlic powder) and heated up some frozen green beans to go with leftover rib roast.
My plate and I ate it all. The roast I dipped in some of the horseradish cream sauce. Along with some of the red from yesterday. So good! But I am totally ready for a few light detox days. Tomorrow is going to be a veggie day, at least for me. There’s still some roast left so I’ll feed that to Scott. All I want is veg, veg, veg! And some beans maybe.
It has been raining all day so no run AND no walk. That’s okay, I totally needed a free day with nothing to do. The house needs cleaned but I’ll do that tomorrow. I didn’t even get out of my jammies today! Very nice and comfy day. Now I’m going to cleanup and then we are watching a movie. Scott bought me Brotherhood of the Wolf for Christmas (it’s an action horror movie, so if you don’t dig those you probably won’t like it)! One of our all time favorites for sure. The hostchairman of Iron Chef America? Yeah, he’s in it kicking some serious ass with his martial arts moves. That’s what he used to do before going all chumpy doing ICA.
See you guys tomorrow!
PS- Oh! Two things I ate somewhere along the day that I forgot to mention is a small piece of bark and 3/4 of a red delicious.
At first I thought you meant Alton Brown but now I know who you mean. LOL
Coconut creme coffee? DO TELL!
A merry belated Christmas to you and yours!
