December 29th, 2008: Lunch and dinner

Hi guys!  To get us prepped and fueled for the day, I made us some breakfast!  Since we didn’t have Sunday breakfast yesterday, I decided we should have a proper breakfast today.

We had some cranberry waffles with maple syrup and in the middle are 2 oranges, 2 clems, 1 gala apple dressed with vanilla Oikos and maple syrup.  So good!  The orange and yogurt taste like a dreamcicle. Mmm!  I did not eat all of the waffles, 1 and a 1/4 because I mostly wanted to chow down on the fruit! :p

Then when Scott was finally ready we went shopping.  We went to the Eddie Bauer warehouse/outlet store (is there any other?) because we had coupons and they were having sweet deals.  1/2 off their jeans and most other pants $12.  Oh yeah and I scored big time, I got amazing deals and bought a bunch of pants!  Check it:

Clothes shopping still isn’t the most fun experience but it’s a lot better than it used to be.  And it’s not so frustrating anymore.  Starting on the left, there are two pairs of jeans that were on sale 1/2 off.  One is a dark blue and the other is a lighter blue, although I realize the picture doesn’t show that too well.  Above that is a green/gray thermal and then a pair of grey cords that have cargo pant elements to them.  Then a pair of soft green khaki cargos.  The light brown khakis and a dark chocolate cord.  And a merlot skirt.  And the big purchase!

A new winter jacket!  My old one was too big and not very warm and I was complaining about it a lot.  Three things missing from the pic:  Scott got two pairs of jeans as well.  And a pair of my pants are missing because we have to return them. :(  I tried them on and they fit but there was a button missing.  I went back and found another pair with a button so I snagged them.  What I didn’t realize until I got home was that they were the same size but petite.  Grrr!  They fit but look like I’m waiting on the flood.  But we got all that stuff for under $200, not too shabby, eh?!  I’m so excited!  I’m sort of in-between sizes right now.  All the pants I bought today are 12s which are a bit too big but 10s are too tight.  I really wish they would size women’s pants the same way was men.  Go in and pick a length and waist size and move along.  None of this random sizing that is different for every store.  How annoying.  Still I’m still losing weight (15lbs to go!) I don’t want to be in the same situation of then having no clothes that fit me so I didn’t want to go crazy buying pants.  These I bought, if they become too big I will see if I can get them altered.  I love them all a lot and don’t want to have to give them up.  They are all very comfortable and flattering.

Anyway, after that we went to the grocery store because I was out of veggies!  When we got home, I put everything away, fed Rocks, and then called my mom.  It’s her birthday today, Happy Birthday Mom!

Finally we could sit down to dinner!  Leftovers of course.

That wee bowl is mine, everything else is Scott’s. :p  I had another chicken tostada.  I took it off the tortilla and tossed that.  Then I mixed the chicken with some spinach and carrots for extra veg and heated that up.  I had a cranberry fizzie, and some chips and salsa as well.  Very yummy, and I loved the extra veggies in my mixture.  I had three bites of rice that came with Scott’s dish and that’s it. :D

Now I’m off to watch some Pens games and get rested for my run tomorrow.  Hooray running!

No Booty Buster points today because I’m a slacker.  Shopping should count!
