December 27th, 2008: Breakfast and lunch

Hi guys!  We watched our movie and it was totally fantastic!  Hopefully we’ll be wrapping up the special features today which are fascinating. :D I was in bed by 11:30 last night, late for me because I was watching behind the scenes stuff!  Rocky let me sleep till a little after 8am and I crawled out of bed.

Mmmm

Mmmm

I took him outside and was bummed to find the weather prediction had come true, 60 some degrees outside.  YUCK!  Plus windy and humid.  Loverly.  I was hungry but wanted my run done and over with so I changed and was out the door.  I wore light running pants and a t-shirt, that’s how warm it was.  Ew.  I was a sweating fool outside.  I only 2.5 miles because I was tired and hot but I busted it and clocked in at 29 minutes.  :woohoo:  That’s the first time I’ve been in the 20s doing that run. :D  I drank a huge glass of CS and went back in for a little more because I was super thirsty.

Took Rocks for a big walk.  I wasn’t sure if it was going to start raining again and I decided to play it safe and get as much done this morning as I could.  We got back and I plopped down with some breakfast.

2 Kashi waffles with some dark chocolate PB and gingerbread coffee.  That coffee was so good this morning with the right amount of holiday spice to it.  I believe we bought it at Target as part of their holiday collection.  I bet they are all out by now.  Boo.  I only ate 1 1/2 of the waffles; they filled me up!

I read a few blogs, I’m trying to get caught back up so hopefully you’ll see me around soon! :D  And then Scott got up for the day.  I was about to shower but changed my mind and got the house cleaned first.  I felt so much better after that was done!  I showered with peace of mind. :p

Then I finally was able to make us some lunch.

Salads!  Simple ones with:

  • Romaine
  • Spinach
  • Cucumbers
  • Cranberries
  • Sunflower and pumpkin seeds
  • Carrots
  • Corn and peas

Dressed in an easy balsamic, mustard, honey, and olive oil dressing.  In the middle is a quick fruit salad.  1 orange, 2 clems, and 1 red delicious mixed with some vanilla Oikos and some maple syrup.  Oh that was so good!  It was sweet and creamy along with being very fluffy and light.  I couldn’t stop eating it!  Thank goodness is was healthy. :D

Now I’m doing some quick laundry and then Scott and I are going to figure out how to spend our day!
