Hi guys!! I had such a fabbo sleep last night. New jammies so I wasn’t all tangled up and I had an awesome foodie day so I was feeling pretty good when I hit the hay.
I slept in a little longer than I wanted but I’m assuming I needed it so no complaints. I got Rocky fed and outside, and then changed into my running clothes. Run-wise my run was awesome. Gear-wise, it was a bad run.
I was overdressed and underdressed at the same time. I know that sounds weird.
Overdressed: I forgot that it was supposed to be warm today and since it was cool and windy when I was out during Rocky’s morning potty run, it didn’t occur to me that my jacket would be too heavy. So I ended up being a little hot during my run.
Underdressed: I was separating the clothes yesterday to start laundry. I thought I would get through it all but ended up only doing one load. I pulled all my running clothes back out for my run this morning except I forgot to pull out my sports bra. Which I didn’t realize until I was getting dressed. So I had to improvise. I had a tanktop that has “built-in support”, so I wore that. I pass the pencil test, so by that rule of thumb, I can technically wear shirts without a bra. So I figured I would give it a go. Yeah, running, no matter what cup size you are, without support stinks. So that was a bit uncomfortable and then my HRM strap was itching me and sliding down.
I did my 3.5 mile run and it was a good run. During the last half it started misting a bit and I wasn’t all that surprised. It felt like rain and looked like rain while I was out. I decided to just take Rocky after my run in case it did start raining later. After my run, I slammed my CS kicking the container. Then it was back out with Rocks for a mile walk. We got back and I gave him his treat, washed my hands, and walked upstairs to change. Just as I got upstairs, it started raining. Good timing!
All I was thinking about during my run was getting back home to some peppermint coffee! YUM! Tis my very favorite and thankfully we are going out to Target today to pick up some more. Along with a blueberry Oikos which I’m liking more and more each time I eat it. I don’t know what all flavors they have because I can only find the blueberry and vanilla. It’s not as thick as Fage and doesn’t really remind me of Greek yogurt but it has all the protein of Greek yogurt. It’s a very nice smooth yogurt and the fruit isn’t overly sweet.
Now I’m off to have another small cup of coffee and get started on our big errand day!
I just read an article on recovery foods after a run and yes it was about chocolate milk. But they listed alternate foods – like smoothies, hot chocolate and one of the ones mentioned was chocolate soy milk!
Yeah I don’t think running without a bra is a good idea not matter what your cup size. You don’t want to sag later on in life.
WOW that test is too funny, and I cant belive you ran without a BRA!!! lol… http://nhershoes.blogspot.com/2008/09/how-do-you-wear-your-sports-bra.html
HAHA that pencil test is hilarious…i think any exercise bra-less is a tad uncomfortable, but good work stickin it out!
