November 5th, 2008: Lunch and Dinner

Hi guys! Today was such a good day! After posting breakfast, I did a bit of work and did some stuff around the house. I took Rocky out for his walk and then it was time for lunch, I had the worst time figuring out what I wanted to eat. I was starving but it was one of those days where nothing really sounded appealing.

Finally I decided on some leftover Chinese but didn’t want the rice with it. It was long grain Jasmine rice which isn’t so bad but I wasn’t feeling the carbs today. Instead I heated up the leftovers and put them on top of some romaine and spinach. There’s chicken, broccoli, carrots, and napa cabbage. I used some of the sauce as “dressing” on the greens. It was soooo good! I loved this so much and the next time we order Chinese food this is how I’m going to eat it. Way better than rice!

After lunch I did some more work and then I started getting a little fidgety. I had a little too much energy and needed to get moving. Remember when I said earlier how I was okay missing my run this morning?

CS

CS

I probably lied. Whenever I took a break and read blogs today, everyone either worked out already or was planning on it. It started getting to me and I couldn’t take being at home any more. I needed to run! I asked Scott if he wanted to go with me (I keep trying to get him out with me at least once!) and he bailed. I quick changed and was out the door.

I have no idea how far I went as I did a slight modified route because I was trying to avoid the trash truck (today is pickup day). I know I ran longer, 28 minutes, and it put me over 300 cals burned. :woohoo: It was hot outside and I was feeling like crap at first. Finally I found my pace was able to knock out the run. I was so happy about being outside and running. The day was gorgeous and I got to see it a little more because I was out and doing something. It was warm and sunny yet still smelled like fall because of all the leaves on the ground, it was awesome. I had a huge glass of CS when I got back home.

I did some Wii Fit after my run. I did about 26 minutes of yoga and also some strength exercises. That finally got Scott moving and he did a little bit too.

We were talking about dinner and I said pizza sounded good (what is wrong with me?! these cravings need to go stat!). He agreed and pizza it was!

I showered and then made the pizza dough. I’m still tweaking with the recipe but I’m sooo close to making it perfect. Scott decided to try his hand at some action shots. That’s me rolling out the dough with the rolling pin my mom gave me when I first moved out on my own.

Veggie pizza

I loaded up the pizza with lots of veggies!

  • Green pepper
  • Red onion
  • Zucchini
  • Broccoli
  • Banana peppers
  • Mushrooms (on Scott’s side)

My plate

I had two slices of pizza on my plate but only ate a slice and a half. I have no idea why but the pizza wasn’t cutting it tonight. It had a slight odd taste to it and I don’t know what the cause could be. Booo I’ll give it another chance though because it made a lot!

I needed a little something to clean my palate and wanted something a little sweet, so I decided on a small bowl of frozen grapes. And now the rest of the night is all mine! I may watch a little TV and then snuggle in bed and read for a bit. See you tomorrow guys!

  1. Brenda, they are not hard to eat but I do let them sit in my mouth for a second to warm up a bit. I love them! They are so sweet it’s almost like eating a sorbet. Scott said he doesn’t care for the skin, it’s a little too chewy but I like that aspect of it. :)
