Hi guys! I’m doing a lunch post because I’m not sure what Scott and I are doing for dinner this evening. We’re either staying in or having a date night and going out. Both sound appealing to me, especially date night because then I can wear a skirt!
Can we discuss how cold it was this morning for my run? It was 20degrees with 10mph winds which brought wind chill with it. Brrrr! I had my toboggan on and my hood up! I have to roll my hood a little bit because it’s too big for my head. :p I look goofy but it works!
I did my new longerish route today because I didn’t run yesterday and my shins were just peachy so I piled on the miles!! It took me a little longer thanks to the wind. Thank you Mo’ Nature for deciding I needed some resistance training during my run today! I was the only one out and about, I didn’t see any other joggers today.
I came back and drank down a big glass of CS and then it was back out with Rocks. He normally loves cold weather, but I think today was even too cold for him and he had his big boy jacket on too!
I did not do any Wii Yoga today, I kicked that to the curb for today. I showered which felt soooo amazing! A hot shower after a workout is one of my favorite things ever. Then I made us some lunch and did the dishes.
Since I felt like a lug yesterday, I decided to make sure I got in veggies today! I made a HUGE salad for lunch, it had:
- 1/4 Chicken breast that I made yesterday
- A couple of scoops of rice and beans from Wednesday
- Chopped red onion
- Sunflower and pumpkin seeds
I topped that with a small drizzle of WF ranch dressing. In the middle is carrot, celery, and cumcuber, WF veggie chips with some roasted red pepper hummus.
I dig the veggie chips but don’t eat too much since I believe these are still fried. They are better dipped in something like hummus or pizza sauce (or so I’ve heard! ).
As I was cleaning up I had some nuts! I bought a bag of mixed whole nuts at WF. They are so good! I had a Brazil nut, 1/2 a pecan, and an almond. Mmmmmm (No pic because it REFUSED to upload. Bugger.)
After lunch it was time for weekly house cleaning. I busted that out in record time and it was finally time to just sit and relax in the office working and doing bloggy related things. As I was reading blogs I saw that Bobbi gave me an award! Wheee!! That’s my first bloggy award!

I started getting a little hungry late afternoon so I opted for some peppermint tea, 1/4 C of 2% fage with some bear naked banana nut, and a peppermint square.
YUM! The peppermint square totally hit the spot and went so well with the tea.
