November 14th, 2008: Lunch and dinner

I could not sit still any longer! I was reading everyone’s blogs about how they either ran or were about to go running and it naturally got me moving. I really cannot stand not running on a run day unless I actually have something else going on. I decided to just do an easy run today because I was still very tired and also I wasn’t sure what we were doing tomorrow. If Scott is still sick, then we probably won’t go to class. If that’s the case, I’ll put a run in. Basically I didn’t want to push myself too hard today. I did 2.0 miles in 23 minutes which isn’t bad really, that’s just over a 10 minute mile. My HR was up up and going strong. And it was HOT outside. Jeeze. I was sweating like crazy. But go me for piling on the miles!

When I got back home, Scott was up and functional. Hooray! I slammed my CS and was back out with Rocks who was not appreciating the warmer weather. :p It made him way more mellow on his walk though. And it was beautiful outside! A little too windy but otherwise awesome because the sun was up and shining. Which I haven’t seen in days.

Here’s a quick peek at my running shoes! Rose posted about hers so I thought I would follow suit and post mine as well! They are Brooks stability shoes and I <3 them! They may look small in the pic but they are honking size 9s. They fit my feet perfectly! I have really narrow feet and a super narrow heel. Most shoes are usually too wide for my foot but the Brooks shoes fit my foot very well.

I did not stretch on the Wii like a punk. I only wanted to hop in the shower because I felt so icky. I made it as hot as it would go and washed away all the icky sleepies. After my shower, I got the guest room cleaned and ready for later. All I have to do is make the bed with some flannel sheets.

After that it was time for lunch and I was hungry! I originally was thinking of having one thing, and when I went to the freezer to pull it out, I saw I had some Morningstar chick patties. Hooray! A nice crispy chicken sandwich sounded perfect.

I heated that up in a skillet with some olive oil and topped the patty with some pepperjack. I ate it on a regular old white bun as part of my cleaning out the freezer attempt. I added a little romaine and about 1 tsp of olive oil mayo to the sandwich. On the side I had some sliced carrots, celery, and green pepper with roasted red pepper hummus. YUM! The only thing that was missing was some fruit. I should really starting being more forceful with myself about having fruit at lunch because I really enjoy it and miss it when I don’t.

While we were eating lunch, Scott said, “Um, you looked really good in your running gear.” Awww, thanks hunnies. He never sees me because I run early in the mornings as he’s sawing logs. I come home, change into recovery clothes that I wear until it’s time to wake him up. However, I change out of those and put them away before going in the bedroom and waking him. So that’s the long drawn out way of saying I’m not wearing my running gear when I go wake him up. ;)

After lunch both of us did some work things and then it was time to call it a day! Hooray for Fridays! Since we were having leftovers for dinner, I didn’t need to prep or do anything. So we plopped down on the couch and played Gears of War 2 for a bit. Oh GoW2 how I have missed you! OXOX

Dinner

Dinner

Dinner consisted of more rad roast chicken with all the sides. Yum! I only ate half of that slice of chicken breast but all of everything else. I also added some gravy after the picture was taken.

Now I’m in my jammies waiting on Scott to get out of the shower. My new bed is made and ready to go. I’m going to have some wine since we are not going to class tomorrow morning (Scott’s not up to par yet) and play some more GoW2! See you tomorrow!

P.S. This Post was brought to you by the letter “H” and the word, Hooray!

I love your shoes! I think those are Adrenaline’s right? I don’t think there’s a better one out there (stability wise).
