October 6th, 2008: Lunch and Dinner

Hi guys! Yesterday was a jam packed day! I did legs at PT, quads and hamstrings. Also a little bit of chest and abs. I did squats and my squats yesterday sucked. I just couldn’t get them for some reason. Everything else I did though, including lunges with weights, rocked so I’m happy about that. After PT we hit the grocery store. *groan* I don’t like having to go to the store after something else. I would rather have grocery shopping be its own trip with nothing before and nothing after it. It takes a big chunk of time to shop because I don’t shop for the week, I shop for weeks at a time. I am not a go-to-the-store-weekly (or even every few days) type of gal. I go and get it done and don’t want to see the store again for a while! It also takes a good bit of time once home, to get everything put away. I was famished by the time we sat down for lunch. Since I didn’t have a proper Sunday breakfast, that was what I wanted.

I had one scrambled egg, two Morningstar sausage links, and three 1/2s of health nut bread. Oh, and a glass of vanilla soymilk. I ate everything! The sausage links were just okay, better if you combined them with something else as opposed to eating them by themselves. The patties are much better than the links. After lunch I cleaned up, did some prep work for Rocky’s dinner, and then I showered. Then I started processing all the veggies and fruits that I bought at the store. The guy waiting in line behind us starting talking to Scott about all the “health food” we bought and how with all that food we probably don’t go out to eat much. He was nice and waited patiently as our things were being rung up.

After I got all the stuff washed and taken care of it was actually time to start dinner! I had some kale that needed used up in a big way so I made soup.

I love kale! As you can see there’s other stuff in there too. ;) I’m working on getting the recipe written down so I can post about it. I had one ladle full of stuffs and one ladle full of broth in that bowl, and I ate it all. After dinner I worked with Scott on some lesson plan ideas for SF class that night in case we taught. There was a chance we were splitting the class with another student.

Then it was time to get ready for class. I did get about 10 minutes of reading in right before we had to leave. I feel like I haven’t read my book in ages because I have been going straight to bed instead of taking some relaxing time to read. I miss my book!

I was hoping we weren’t going to be too late at class but we were; we got home just before 10pm. We ended up not teaching, which was okay, I would rather train. Took Rocks out for a quickie walk and I was in my jammies by 10:30. Of course the curse of working out so late is that I come home needing a snack.

I made this plate up of a wee apple, some kashi crackers, and some PB. I ate most of the apple and had, I think, four crackers with a bit of PB on them. Scott had the rest. After watching a recorded show it was off to bed. I didn’t get to bed until 11:30. Booo! I was pooped!
