Hi guys! Wow it’s been a long day! Other than the brief time I sat down to do the last post, this is the first time I’m sitting down today. :o
Today started off a little different because my PT time got changed. There used to be someone before me and someone after me. Cue recession and those folks had to cut back, so my time got bumped to earlier. Which is cool with me, I would much rather get up and get my stuff done, that leaves me with the rest of the day to do my other stuff. So early this morning as I was trying to wake up, I had some breakfast. Coffee + creamer, 1/3 C of 2% Fage and some bare naked banana nut granola on top. This granola is starting to grow on me. The sweetness of it is balanced out by the tartness of the yogurt, they work well together.
Even though I was up early this morning, I didn’t have time to post before heading off to PT. I think I may get up earlier next week, it will depend on how much sleep I think I need. Today as I opened the garage door, I looked out and saw it snowing! It didn’t last very long and quickly changed over to a heavy rain. But for a few minutes it was snowing. I wasn’t expecting snow until at least December. Crazy!
I got my butt kicked at PT. Today was chest, shoulders, and biceps. Shoulders/chest kills me! That’s my weakest area so benching is a very hard move for me. Today I went up to 85lbs benching. I think I might have done two sets of 5 with that weight. Then the weight went back down slowly and I had to alternate between presses and pushups. Oy!
Scott usually goes with me to PT because sometimes we run errands afterwards. Since my session now ends earlier, we decided that would be a good time to get our grocery shopping done. That way it’s early in the morning and there should be less people out and about. That’s the theory anyway. :p So that’s what we did today! I was craving veggies like crazy and loaded up the cart at the store. I bought some squash that we never had before to try out. Adventure! Once home and groceries put away for the most part it was time to make lunch.
Today is like yesterday, very cold, windy, and raining. I originally thought grilled cheese and tomato soup. But soup would take too long and we needed to eat! I made Scott a grilled cheese and I had another open-faced sandwich. This was on blues bread with some spinach, a slice of muenster cheese, and a few slices of tomato. Sprinkled with S&P and put in the toaster oven for a few minutes. I also heated up some oven fries (5) and had some sliced green peppers and carrot on the side. I ate all of my sandwich, it was soooooo yummy! All of the carrot, most of the green peppers, and all of the fries.
After lunch and clean-up, I took Rocky out for his walk. Oooo it was so cold! I put on a pair of my heaviest sweat pants and pulled out my winter jacket for the walk. I’m all bundled up and then some guy out running, in nothing but a thin shirt and shorts passes me. Dude, you are so going to get sick! I know running warms you up but not that much! After the walk, I needed to do some veggie prep. Normally I don’t do veggie prep on the same day I shop, however this time my fridge was overflowing with produce! I needed to get the stuff prepped so everything fit in the fridge a little better.
That took me a little while to do and I also made some veggie mix for Rocky as I was prepping. Then it was time for me to start supper. I had a nice hearty meat and potatoes meal planned. Once that was cooking, I was able to finish Rocky’s veggie mix.
Dinner was some buffalo in green peppers with mushroom gravy. The side was some potatoes and greenbeans that were cooked together in the same pot. That’s my wee little pepper slice with two potatoes and some greenbeans. After the picture, I mashed the potatoes and added some more gravy on top. I ate everything on my plate!
I had some leftover gravy, so with a 1/2 slice of bread that had a small amount of butter, I mopped it up. After dinner was a mondo cleanup. Scott took over pantry duties for me, it was on my to-do list today because it needs reorganized. He decided to take care of it. I’m too tired to check out his work, I’ll have to take a peek at it tomorrow. Make sure it’s up to par.
After the cleanup, I changed into my jammies, folded and put away two loads of laundry. Put another load in the wash and then sat down to type up my post. Now I’m off to relax and I’m sure it won’t be long before I fall asleep!
ETA: To change the date because I’m a dunderhead sometimes.
