Hi guys! As promised, I made us some fizzies last night while we watched the game.
Although technically I didn’t alter them in anyway, it’s just straight up blood orange soda. So yummy! I can’t wait to get back to Target and buy some more. The game was painful to watch. The first period was great and the Pens did a good job of keeping the puck in the Devils zone but damn they went downhill fast starting in the second period. Then they just looked sloppy. Game went to OT and the Devils won. Bummer. I have decided I want a shirt with Satan’s number on it. Pronounced Sha-Tan but still, a shirt with Satan on the back is pretty awesome. :p We finished watching the game around 9:30ish and I went straight to bed. I read for an hour and it was glorious. Then I passed out until Scott came to bed going on 3am. :o I hope he’s got a good reason for being up so late!
It felt good to run this morning. I feel like it’s been ages since I’ve ran even though in reality it’s only been three days. I don’t know what’s going on with Mo’ Nature but the weather has gone back to hot and humid. It’s like August weather! I probably could have worn shorts or my new running skirt this morning, that’s how warm it was at 7am. And so humid. Yuck! I thought it might rain but the clouds finally cleared and the sun is out now.
I need to work on my speed and getting my HR up higher. I’m wondering if maybe instead of doing the same run, I should alternate between my current run and then do a shorter faster run the next day? Thoughts? After slamming the CS, Rocks and I were back out the door. No need for an extra sweatshirt today.
After Rocks and I got back, I changed into recovery clothes (had to dig out the shorts!) and did some Wii Fit. I didn’t “log in” yesterday to record my weight lifting workout and it asked me if I was too lazy to work out yesterday when I logged in today. Um, no Wii Fit I wasn’t too lazy, I just didn’t work out with you. Butthead. I did some yoga stretches, and unlocked a new one which I did and is awesome. Then I tried a balancing exercise and couldn’t get it at all. Curse you tightrope! I did about 15 minutes total and stretched which was my goal.
Then I made some oats! Oh oats how I’ve missed you. We had one banana left and I was going to save it for Rocky’s kong but then I turned selfish and put it in my oats. Sorry Rocks! Basic oats today with homemade granola, extra cranberries, and a spoonful of dark chocolate PB.
Had that with morning coffee + creamer. I don’t know what happened with the coffee this morning but it was a bit icky. Sorry Scott! It seemed weak and I noticed it was set for 1-4 cups of coffee (we make way more) instead of be set on the flavor enhancer setting, so perhaps that was the issue. So I only had maybe 1/2 the mug before tossing it and moving to water.
As I was eating breakfast a bluejay landed on my deck. I got up to see if I could get a pic because he moved over to the feeder but he flew away. Then he came back and that’s when I noticed two of them at the feeder. I again tried to get a pic but they took off. I hope they don’t start bullying my other birdies. And they are huge! Holy cow, I think they are even bigger than the pigeons that come around.
