October 13th, 2008: Lunch and dinner

Hey guys! Worked arms today at PT, biceps, triceps, and shoulders. I did okay but some exercises I was having some trouble with the weights so I started getting frustrated with myself. Meh. I hate when that happens. Otherwise it was a good session. I wasn’t too terribly hungry when I got home but since I just worked out I needed to refuel my body.

I made a salad with:

  • Romaine
  • Cucumber
  • Black-eyed peas
  • Broccoli
  • Sunflower and pumpkin seeds

I topped that with salsa for my dressing. One the side was leftover chicken quesadilla. I ate almost all of my salad, and about 3/4 of the quesadilla. In the middle of the table was chips and salsa for Scott. I didn’t have any of those.

After lunch I took Rocky for a quick walk. It was hot and boxers + heat don’t mix too well (because of their squishy faces). It was just long enough for him, by the time we got home he had big boxer tongue sticking out. :p He crashed on the tile floor which is something he never does. Then he followed me upstairs and spread out on the bed while I showered. I turned the ceiling fan on for him to help cool him down. :D

I came downstairs and checked mail quick then I cut up a pear.

I needed fruit in a big way. I missed it in my breakfast since I didn’t have a banana and then I didn’t have any at lunch which was strike number two. I fixed that situation quick!

I was starting to feel a bit worn out and needed to take a mental break. I grabbed my book and laid in bed reading for a bit. I haven’t done this in ages and have missed it so much! I need to start making more time so I can read at night.

The addition was some roasted veggies that I made tonight. My body felt like it was telling me that I needed more veggies so I cut up two sweet potatoes, a zucchini, and added in some baby carrots. Tossed those in maple syrup, olive oil, S&P, cinnamon and some chili powder. Roasted them until tender. Then I loaded up my plate with them! I also had some rice with coconut and pineapple, and 3/4 of a 1/2 chicken breast wrapped in pizza dough. I discarded the dough and just ate the chicken. I didn’t feel like any more carby stuff. Other than that I cleared my plate!

Now I’m blogging and then we are going to settle in and watch the Pens game that we taped. Scott requested fizzies to drink so I will make some for us later. My body still feels like it’s missing something, I’ll have to see if I can figure out what! See you guys tomorrow!
