September 12th, 2008: Dinner

Hey guys! I need to fly through these posts because I have a big day and need to get moving! Hope you don’t mind. :D

After much thinking I finally knew what to make for dinner last night. While it was cooking I made us some “drinks” to sip.

Cranberry Lime

Cranberry Lime

Cranberry and lime are two flavors that combine really well. It has to be my favorite combination and I use them all the time for drinks. This is just a mocktail in some small juice glasses. Each glass has 1/2 limeade and 1/2 cranberry juice in it. My glass also had frozen blueberries, pineapple, and grapes. Scott’s had frozen mango instead of blueberries. I love doing this! It helps keep the drinks cool plus since you eat the fruit, you are able to sneak in another serving for the day. Clever! :)

Yum!

We also snacked on some aged English cheddar that I picked up at WF. This cheese is awesome! It is a very different type of cheddar but smooth texture with a really sharp bite. Very yummy! And along side that we had some smoked almonds. Anyone else like those? I love these things. I like almonds okay but the smoked ones are outstanding.

Sorry about the crappy picture! At night the lighting in our kitchen isn’t the best for pictures. I’m going to have to bring in another lamp I think. Anyways dinner was some hamloaf that I found in the freezer and heated up with some cheddar mashed potatoes. I had a few bites of my potato left and 1 and 1/2 slices of the hamloaf. I was stuffed! We quickly cleaned up the kitchen and by then it was 9pm. :O Finally time to sit down and relax for just a bit.

Mmmm pumpkin!

We watched a little TV and sipped on a pumpkin beer. Then I called it a night and headed upstairs to read in bed. I knew I needed lots of sleep for Saturday!
