September Intentions

RaspberryOne of my favorite blogs to read has a series each month called “Bold Intentions” where she lists out mini-goals and ideas for each month.

I like the concept of this and since I’m starting to feel more grounded, this is something I decided I would like to do as well.

So I’m making a list of my September Intentions and at the end of September, I will reflect back to see what I was able to accomplish.

Exercise More: I need to start adding exercise back into everyday routine.  It was hard for a while. I had no motivation and then when I was working almost full time outside of the home, I had no desire.  Now we live in a great area that has awesome neighborhoods to run through.  I have no excuse not to start running again.  I’ve also joined a fitness challenge over at Nine to Five Balance that starts next week.  I’ll be blogging about that as well.

New KitchenCook More: In our rental that we stayed at, my cooking tanked.  I hated the space to cook in and I was unhappy with where we were living.  That meant my desire to cook went out the window and we ate take out way more than we should have.  In our new home, I’m feeling much more settled and ready to start cooking again.

Game More: This one might seem silly but I’m putting it on the list.  Scott and I both miss gaming and with other commitments, it seems like our gaming time has greatly decreased.  More importantly, it feels like our “quality time” together has decreased. Sad panda. Both of us see gaming as a relaxing thing and we enjoy doing it together. Currently we’re playing BioShock Infinite and I’d like to have at least some gaming time carved out each week.

So there you have it, those are my September Intentions.  Do you set mini goals for yourself each month?  If not, maybe give it a try and see how it goes!

  1. I love Elise’s Monthly Intentions. You just gave me inspiration! Thank you.

I hope you enjoy the challenge. It’ll be a combo of food/fitness, so hopefully it will help you reach those cooking goals, too.
