Hmm...very cool. I didn't even know these were out there for running. If our Ky winter keeps up this year I may have to look into a pair myself.

Krista, really?! What happened to them, did they snap in half or something? Now I'm curious so I can have a backup plan. :p I'll check out these stabilicers you mentioned.

I'm now running to and from work each day. I started the winter off without them on but lately it has been cold for days. Its so dry here that the snow became VERY slippery so I put the Yak's on my shoes and low and behold, no more slipping. Now I admit in my running career I've blown through about 4 pairs of these so I personally don't find them that durable.... But, I am quite fond of them this year. I also laugh because my honey can see my footprints for days on end... he saw were I walked the dog after work because I left them on my runners! Next time I blow through the yak's I'm going to try something called stabilicers.

So cool! I have been wondering how you run in the ice and snow so much and are doing it safely. This is a really great, detailed review too :)

I'm glad you posted this! I've always wanted to know what people thought about them. We run...but don't have enough ice/snow to use them...but we're planning on (one day...) moving somewhere with lots of snow. :)

I don't run, but I SO appreciate the tread action on shoes now thanks to Boston <img src='/images/biggrin.gif' alt=':D' /> My first snowy outing resulted in me looking like little Bambi learning to walk....Happy new year A, your blog looks superrrr awesome and profesh!
