Review: POM Wonderful Kiwi and Nectarine Flavors

Hi gang!  It’s been a bit since I’ve done a review and for that I truly apologize.  I need to get back to the grind and start reviewing because I have so many things I want to talk about!

You all know I love myself some POM and if you didn’t, you know it now.  POM sent me two new flavors to try (Yes government, this means I got these products for FREE from POM) and I have to tell you that I am impressed.

With one of them.

POM Kiwi Flavor The first flavor was POM with Kiwi.  It has a green cap that got cut off during this picture apparently.  So if you look for it at the store, look for the lime green cap!

I like POM straight up because I am hard core.  When I test a new flavor, I do so by first smelling the POM and then tasting the POM.

Unfortunately, POM Kiwi smells like men’s used gym socks.  Men’s specifically because when they sweat, they tend to smell worse than women.  Not that women don’t smell, but let’s be real, man sweat is a little more pungent.

Not to be deterred, I still tasted it because my love of POM runs deep.  It tasted alright and I would drink it but it’s not up there as a fave.  My favorite flavor of POM was the one with blueberry; the kiwi flavor did not change that.

With all POMs it either goes into POMtinis (of which I posted my recipe before everyone on the planet started drinking POMtinis; I’m just saying) or it goes into smoothies.  Scott really dug on this flavor and I made him loads of POM Kiwi-tinis.  This flavor probably ranks up there as his favorite.

The next POM flavor, that I can’t find my picture of, was POM Nectarine.  First things first, I smelled it and it smelled like an Angel just passed wind.  I mean this in a good way because what I’m saying to you is that this smelled heavenly!  As if any Angel could smell any other way, right?  And I am clearly talking about the Divine here and not those that are part of Charlie’s little harem.  I know you understand this but just so we’re on the same page, I’m stating it bluntly.

I tasted the POM Nectarine and it was like a dream come true.  Nectarines happen to be one of my all time favorite fruits and I had high hopes for this juice.  POM did not disappoint.  I loved it so much that Scott was not allowed to use this for ‘tinis nor was it allowed to be put into smoothies.  It had to be cherished, cuddled, and sipped straight up without forcing it to compete with anything else.

POM Blueberry has now fallen down the ranks and POM Nectarine is the new champion.

I have seen these now in stores so they are available wherever you can purchase POM juice.  POM is not cheap, but it is totally worth the price because the juice tastes fantastic.  POM Nectarine tastes like summer in a glass and I will be picking up some more very soon, especially now that winter has hit the Midwest like a beast.

POMtini

If you haven’t tried any POM products I urge you to do so!  And I’m not just saying this because POM sent me some goods.  My love for POM started before they even knew about my blog.  If you read my first review, you’ll see I’m not jiving you.

Now get you some POM to start making festive holiday drinks!  It looks amazing in a glass and is perfect for a holiday party drink. :)

  1. Hi there! Thanks for visiting my blog. I love POM products, but it’s pricey to buy on a regular basis. Sometimes I like to stir just a little bit into yogurt. Yum! The POM nectarine sounds really interesting!

    • Shannon, It’s totally yum! And you’re right, POM products are indeed pricey.
Lynn, Ha! I love it! It’s sooo smooth tasting. :)
Rose, They were tasty! Did you get the coffee ones too?
