Hi gang! Last night Scott and I finished a really bad Pens game. Please lord let them get out of this slump soon. Crikey! Then I crashed out in bed.
I got up this morning and after taking care of Rocky made breakfast right away.

Pumpkin apple oatbran and some coffee. I was one hungry A this morning. After breakfast one of the most glorious things happened. I got to go to Muay Thai! After not working out for close to a week this was a much welcomed event. I am very thankful for heavy bags and 14oz gloves. I told my instructors it was nice to be able to hit something again. :p
After class is when the craziness started because we had so many errands to run. Checking the mailbox, running here and there and everywhere. I did get a surprise in the mail today, I won something! I put my business card in for a drawing to win a Kikkoman cookbook while I was at the Foodbuzz Fest and I won it! It’s actually really nicely done with huge pictures and recipes that were created by some restaurant chefs. Score!
Then we hit up Sam’s where I found a 5lb box of oats for $4! HELL YES! And since it’s the holidays they have one of our favorite wines back in stock. It’s a Riesling and the bottle is huge! I’ll take a picture of it for you soon so you can see it in all it’s glory.
Naturally I had to hit the grocery store again because I forgot something yesterday, fresh herbs! Can’t make stuffing and turkey without them.
Do you ever do that, forget to get something at the store? I try to avoid it but it never fails that when I’m holiday shopping there is always something I forget to pick up.
When we finally got back home, Scott and I were starving! I inhaled a piece of leftover pizza too quickly to take a picture. Sorry guys!
Here’s my quickie lunch.

I took some of the leftover nacho topping and put that on a Whole Foods red chili tortilla with some guac and lettuce. I ate that soft taco style.
And smoothie!
- 1C Carrot juice
- 2C Unsweetened cranberry juice
- Spinach
- Frozen banana
- Frozen blueberries
After lunch, oh I wasn’t done with my chores yet! I changed into my best goober clothes and headed outside to pull weeds and cleanup the landscaping for winter. I probably did that for a little over an hour. :o
Then I showered and zonked out on the couch because I was one tired girl! I watched The Goonies while playing on the laptop, very relaxing. Mmmm Then I made some dinner, easy peasy style.
Since we didn’t get a chance to have fish this week due to being invaded by Teh Sickies, I made that this evening. :)
- Teriyaki sauce
- Maple syrup
- 2 green onions
- Garlic powder
- Chili powder
- Red pepper flakes
- Sea salt
Marinade for about 10 minutes and then into the oven at 400 for about five minutes. Delicious!
Roasted asparagus which we haven’t had in ages!
- Olive oil
- Soy sauce
- Chili powder
- Garlic powder
Roasted at 400 for about 5 minutes as well.
With a bit of jasmine rice on the side. Dinner was so good and now I’m really passing out tired. :p I’m off to watch the Pens game and hopefully they have a better night!
Till tomorrow guys!

Salmon + veggies + rice is my all time fave meal!! I think the quickness factor is what makes it perfect
Have a great Sunday A!
The salmon looks wonderful, that’s my all time favourite fish :)
I’m still picking fresh herbs from the garden… though some didn’t survive the early frost like the basil.
