October 8th, 2009: Getting it done

Hi guys!  Even though I crashed it out in bed last night at 10pm, no 8am wakeup call today. :p  I got up a little late though.  My alarm went off and I turned it off.  Usually I give myself five minutes to lay there and wake up, then I go about my business.  I am not a snooze button hitter and in fact that drives me bonkers.  I have threatened lives to those that have shared sleeping space with me and are chronic snooze button hounds.  Interrupting my sleep is a serious offense. ;)

Anyway it was only for about 15 minutes but still put me behind!  No matter, I made up for it on my gimpy run this morning.  I planned on cruising out five miles but nope, the bod had other plans.  My groin muscles are pretty sore from all the kicks we did on Monday night and even though they are better today, my right side got fatigued very easily during the run.  I could only do 2.5 this morning and had to call it quits.  I was bummed but have learned to listen to the body because it knows what it wants.  I came inside and hopped right in the shower.

I worked on yesterday’s post and a few emails, by this point my bellah was screaming at me.  I was just going to have a yogurt mess but I was Hungry, and needed something a little more.

Coffee and oatbran

Pumpkin cheesecake oatbran!  Same deal as the oats, just oatbran this time.  I did add in more cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, and some vanilla.  Mmmm!  On top, sprinkled some crushed walnuts and dried coconut.  It was delish!

After breakfast I got some stuff taken care of around the house and just made it a little personal time to take care of things.  Blog stuff and things along those lines.  I got in 8 more of those study tapes (umph) and decided to get things done around home so I could dive right into them and not be distracted.

I walked Rocky and then cleaned up around the house a bit.  I prepped for dinner and made us some lunch.  By this point I was feeling a little bit blah, sort of like maybe I was catching what Scott has (he’s on the mend BTW, not 100% but close!).  Ick!  I took some Emergen-C to be safe.  I had made a salad for myself but gave that to Scott as I wasn’t feeling it.  What I really wanted was something a little more comforting.

Toast and carrot

A slice of Ezekiel bread with PB and honey.  Gosh I just love this bread and can’t get enough of it!  Also a carrot which I only ate half of because it tasted like onions and I was not feeling onion at that point in time.

Smoothie

Smoothie!

  • 1C van soymilk
  • 1C US cranberry juice
  • 1C water
  • Kale
  • Frozen banana
  • Frozen blueberries
  • Frozen peaches

I sort of wanted a thicker smoothie today which is why I opted for the soymilk.  It was yummy!

Apple and yogurt

And a small bowl of Banilla with 1/2 a honeycrisp.

Smoothie, snacks, and yogurt

Loved this lunch!  I had the rest of the apple in the middle because Scott didn’t eat it. :D

After cleaning up the kitchen, I chained myself back to my desk and knocked out some tapes.  Not as many as I would have liked, but enough that when I stopped it was alright.  Well I was losing focus and just could not handle dealing with the repetitive questions any longer.  I needed to stop for my sanity! :p

Which was okay because it was time for suppah!

Pizza

Pizza Thursday, what what!  Love you Pizza Thursday!

  • WW crust that I made
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded moz
  • Shredded Parm
  • Shredded carrot
  • Red onion
  • Green peppers
  • Banana peppers
  • Mushrooms and Italian sausage on Scott’s half
  • Buffalo sauce on Scott’s half
  • Chili garlic sauce on my half

Pizza

YUM!!!  I stuffed my face because it was so good!

Pizza I started off with my standard two and a half slices and quickly consumed that.  Then I went back in for my other half slice.  Mmm mmm!  Dessert just might be in my future and so might another early bedtime. :p

Till tomorrow my pretties!

  1. Hope the muscle soreness is getting better! I can’t tell you how much more satisfying Pizza Thursday was tonight: it’s been a rough week – just really busy. I wasn’t looking forward to cooking at all so our ritual frozen Tombstone pizza was like manna from heaven! 8-) Of course, the tall glass of refreshing mojito from Mr. Noodle didn’t hurt any . . . ! But it was bittersweet – frost and maybe even some snow is forecast for this weekend. Goodbye warm weather!

  2. We had pizza last night too!

I also love the ezekiel bread….nothing compares

Hope you don’t get sick from Scott. My fiance just got over being sick and I started to feel it yesterday too!

We had a lot in common yesterday :)

    • Steph, Ezekiel bread is just amazing! It’s new to me and I am in love.

Amanda, Pumpkin cheesecake oats are beyond stellar! Totally try ’em out if you get a chance!

TN, Pizza Thursday can be so comforting can’t it? Love!
