Hi guys! I did indeed have chocolate last night! But no picture though, it was a maltball that I just popped into my mouth and ate as I was walking upstairs. I laid in bed and read for about an hour or so. At 10pm it was lights out and going to bed that early was wonderful!
I woke up this morning at 6am. Umph! It was way too dark for me to head out for a run, so I took care of Rocks and then worked till 7ish. It was light by that point, so I headed out for my short 2.5 miles. It was insanely humid this morning and I was glad that I only had to do a short run! I was sweating buckets the entire time. It was thundering just a tad while I was out. By the time I got back home, I just walked in the kitchen for some CS when it started pouring down rain.
And it was coming down hard. I didn’t delay, I busted upstairs for a shower because I felt so gooby. Then I made breakfast because I was starving.
Blueberry oatbran with chocolate whey protein powder this morning instead of vanilla. A sprinkle of coconut on top made it complete! With some coffee on the side that was really weak (sorry babies!). I ate my glorious breakfast and then it was back to the grind working and working it some more.
Which I completed! Wheee! By this point, I had to bust out some lunch because I was about to gnaw my arm off.
Salad inspired by Kath’s taco salad she had the other night.
- Mixed greens
- Shredded carrot and parsnip
- Cucumber
- Leftover salsa beans
- Chopped red onion
- Heavy dollop of salsa on top
- Crushed flax tortilla chips
OH so good!
Smoothie of a much more reasonable color:
- 1C pineapple juice
- 1C OJ
- 1C US cranberry juice
- Kale
- Shredded carrot and parsnip
- 2 fresh figs
- Frozen mango
- Frozen blueberries
Mmmmm and it was creamy, not gritty.

Lunch was fabbo! And I’m slowly learning that I don’t have to cram everything under the sun into my smoothies. This helps make them creamier as well. Before I would just try to get so much stuff in and now I’m realizing that a few things are okay. It doesn’t mean I’m lacking on fruits and veg which was my previous notion.
Thanks all for your kind words about my nose! It’s just a little sore today but nothing overly painful. It only hurts if I tap it or scrunching my nose and that “hurt” is an ache, not a sharp pain or anything like that. Martial arts training comes with bumps and bruises, it happens. Next time I’ll block better!
