Hi guys! Quickie post to show you my eats!
Coffee to help wake me up this morning.
Oatbran to get me moving and keep me fueled for my race. Mix-ins were cranberries, walnuts, and some dark chocolate PB.
Then I was off to my race! Details of my first 1/2 marathon over here. I did have a banana after my race but no picture because Scott had the camera.
After the race it was time to stuff my race face! Oh yeah!
Breakfast here we come! There was coffee.
Oh look, coffee has a friend today.
And then a big freaking breakfast.
Scrambled eggs, potatoes, turkey sausage, and an English muffin.
Plus a fruit bowl, minus the strawberries. I gave those to Scott.
That’s a ton of food and I did not eat it all. Especially the sausage, I didn’t know there would be four links! :o
After we got home, I showered and noticed my first experience with race rash. My HRM strap, right in the front in the middle gave me a nice little burn mark. It’s lovely right under the girls. That’s the only instance of it though and I’m sure it will go away soon enough.
After my shower I stretched everything but good and then iced my knees as they were a little bit achy.
Now I’m just chilling. I hope to have much veggies and wine in my future. Or at least wine if I can’t get veggies!
