Hi lovelies!! Today has been a cross between busy and then not busy. :p I realize my posts have been lackluster as of late and I apologize for that! I’m still sort of in life organizing mode on this end and with the added time spent going to physical therapy now, I am having a bit of a time adjusting my schedule to fit everything in. I know I’m only going to PhysT twice a week but it takes a huge chunk out of my already busy days. It sort of leaves me scrambling afterwards. It’s a must obviously, because otherwise I think my running would be nonexistent at this point. And I love running, so not running isn’t an option for me. I also love distance running and I need to take care of myself so that I can continue to run. So thanks for putting up with my boring and sometimes off-schedule posts!

Hi gang! My day went crazy fast yesterday and unfortunately I didn’t have a minute to even think about posting eats. Here’s my grub.
I tried the gallery feature but it was being a dinkus and not working for me.
There’s no real lunch because I wasn’t hungry so I had a smoothie instead.
Yesterday I headed out for my run intending to do 6 miles but not long into the start of my run, my IT band in my thigh area started tightening up on me. Grrr! I eased up my pace and sort of kept going to see how it was going to feel. I was doing okay but was done by 3.5 miles. It was tight and hurting a bit and I didn’t want to push myself. I’m not too worried about building up miles because I’ve done it once I know I can run far. I also know that I have the endurance for it. I just want to do it again already! That’s where my frustration lies.
The Hills Market: Earth Week Feast Recap (4-20-09 Dinner)
Hi guys! Tuesday Tip is on vacation this week so I can talk about the event that Scott and I attended last night.
Scott and I are extremely bad about exploring our surroundings. When we get some free time, usually the first thing we do is put on our jammies and chill. We decided that starting this year, we were going to get out more and see what Columbus has to offer. And as a food blogger, I’m very interested in the food scene. Not just in terms of trying new restaurants, but also trying to eat more locally grown products, learning where the food I’m eating came from, and how someone decided to prepare a particular dish. What exactly am I eating and why, is what it boils down to.
When I read the description for last night’s event put on by The Hills Market, this was exactly the type of thing I was looking for. A chance to meet others in the area and also learn about locally grown products. It was also our first time visiting The Hills and we will be making some stops back! We attended the Earth Week Feast which featured local ingredients and wine to go with each course. You know this is right up my alley!

April 20th, 2009: Breakfast and Lunch (also last night’s snack)
Hi guys! It was late when we had our “snack” so I didn’t get a chance to post about it. First the evening started off with a small glass of wine so we could finish the bottle and send it on it’s way. All my pictures of the wine came out crappy. Boo
We drank that while watching the BSG Finale which was just okay. Nothing spectacular, some questions left unanswered, and some very dumb things (Like Galen (sp) killing Torrie. Really? Over Callie? Really? Who gives a flip about Callie?). Basically I thought it could have been better especially since it was a series finale. And the previews for all the spinoff stuff? Whoa do those look really bad.
Dear TV, what has happened to you? Why are there no good shows on TV anymore?
Scott chatted with his mom for a bit on the phone and I decided to have some fruit.

CS
Hi guys! I slept decent enough last night and got up this morning early to get my run in. I kept flip-flopping about whether or not I wanted to head to the new trail. Laziness won out and I didn’t go. I just couldn’t bring myself to put on my big girl shoes and walk there. I headed out and did a 3.5 mile run and as I was starting to make my second loop to run another 2.5 when I had an issue. Er, I needed to use the restroom. Normally I can just run through it but not today. I headed home to make a pit stop (thank goodness I wasn’t on the trail!) and then headed back out for the rest of the 2.5er. As I was running my upper thigh on the outside started to hurt and tighten up. Damnit! I knew it was my IT band. I walked a bit to let it calm down and then started running again, no go, it started to hurt again. I stopped and walked over to a lamppost to stretch it out. I walked some more, and then did a light run. I was able to run the rest of the way home. I cut my run short today and ended up walking/running for a total of 55 minutes. I have no idea what the total mileage ended up being.

Hi guys! I totally didn’t intend for this to be a full day recap but we switched the office around today which literally took all day long. I had to unplug the computer and didn’t get it plugged back in till after 6pm. Whew! So far I’m loving this new set up! The office is starting to look like a nice professional office and not some junk room that we also happen to work in. I was feeling so stifled and icky in the old version!
I didn’t have the greatest sleep last night and woke up early this morning. I got Rocks taken care of and it was beautiful outside! I immediately threw open the sliding glass door to let in some fresh air. Ahhhh that is the best! Getting rid of the old stale winter air and letting in some fresh smelling breezes!
wake up
I grabbed a mug of coffee and headed into the “old” office. I worked on last night’s recap and thanks to all for your kind words! It’s just weird to have someone you just met make fun of you. I’m like, what? Is this middle school?
April 17th, 2009: Dinner (Ba Sho a bust)
Hi guys! Last night dinner was a bust in so many ways. The restaurant was not good, the company was awkward, and I didn’t get any pictures.
Our friends called us Thursday night, but late, so I didn’t get the call. They left a message about going out to dinner on Friday and to give a call back on Friday. I waited until close to 3pm to call back because the hubs part of the couple is a teacher and I was waiting till he was done with work. I re-listened to his message before calling and in it he mentioned to call his wife instead. Doh! So I called her, which I felt odd doing because I knew she was still at work and I don’t like calling people at work.
Quick tangent, I grew up under the rule that you do not call someone at work. First of all they are at work, which means unavailable. And second if you are calling someone at work, you best have lost a limb or are dying because it’s rude. Nowadays because of cell phones it’s like there are no boundaries anymore. Parents call their kids at school and during school (Wha the what?!!) and kids call their parents at work. Crazy. Anyway, it’s not a behavior I can adopt. It still seems rude to me.

April 17th, 2009: Breakfast and dinner
Hi guys! Getting up this morning was a little rough. I had woken up around 6am, but I was not getting out of bed at that time. I laid there trying to fall back asleep but there were too many external noises going on and I could only get to the twilight sleep stage and not further. *grumble* It was a little discouraging for my run but I made it out the door.

The weather was cool but nice this morning. I didn’t have to wear a hoodie but did need my ear cover headband thingie. Whatever you call them. :p I only did an easy 4ish miles this morning. My leg and everything felt fine. There was a slight little burn feeling at the top of my thigh/hip when I started my cool down walk but it literally only last for like two seconds.
I had some CS and went right into my stretches. I did my IT band stretches on both legs twice and then my normal yoga stretches. Then it was time to hit the shower and put on my robe. Mmm robe I love you.
