April 7th, 2009: Dinner

Hi guys!  Wow but the weather today has been for shit.  Very cold and a constant mix of snow/rain.  YUCK!  I don’t mean to drag on about it but dang it stinks.  Okay, done (for today)!  Today has been full of ups and downs.  I’m actually glad to be moving on to tomorrow! :)  The roofing people are supposed to start installing the new roof tomorrow.  I didn’t think they would with this crazy weather we’re having but I guess they say it’s time.

Before MT class tonight, I had a preworkout snack.

Same as my snack last night!

  • 2% Fage
  • Bear Naked chocolate granola
  • Cranberries

YUM!  So good!  I probably ate too much granola but it’s all good. ;)  In class tonight we worked a lot of elbows and knee drills.  I misunderstood one drill.  We were only supposed to throw one elbow before going into double knees.  I thought it was two elbows and two knees.  Scott didn’t block my second elbow and I bopped him in the head.

Can you see the knot/bump on his forehead?  I apologized profusely to him since it was my fault for not doing the drill right.  But after that, I had to admit to him that I was pretty impressed with myself.  I didn’t know I could reach that high with my elbow strikes!  I’m only 5’6″ and Scott is an even 6 feet tall.  I got him right on the top of the head with my elbow.  That’s awesome!  Go me and my bad ass elbows!

Then we came home and I made supper.  I love this meal!  I look forward to it whenever we have it and I do usually try to have it Tuesday evenings.

Baked tilapia (with teriyaki & spices on top) and roasted veggies.  Tonight’s veggies were asparagus and sugar peas.  And I also had a wee bit of Scott’s rice which was jasmine rice.  YUM!

This meal feeds my soul.  It’s so good and so very easy to make.  I don’t have to dirty any dishes because everything just gets put on baking sheets in the oven.  Well okay, one small pot gets dirty for the rice, but that’s it.   It’s fish and veggies so it’s healthy.  A very relaxing and enjoyable meal to have in the evenings. :cheerful:

Now it’s time to get snugs for a few before heading off to bed.  See you tomorrow!

  1. I’m hating this cold weather. I would be even more miserable if it were raining, I’m sorry!!

Aww that bump is bad, hope it heals soon!

And that meal is definitely food for the soul, I love it.
