March 24th, 2009: Dinner

Hi guys!  I had to pass on MT class (again! grr!) this evening.  If I couldn’t even run this morning, doubtful I’m going to be able to get through a class of punching and kicking.  I was so hungry this afternoon I was craving everything for dinner!  I decided to munch on some PB granola by bear naked, to ease my hunger a bit while Scott and I looked at roof tiles.

Guys, picking roof tiles is a pain in the butt.  You’re staring at your house and staring at roof tiles going, “Well that could match.  Or that one, maybe?”  And the thing is, you only get one tile to look at which naturally once it covers an entire house and the sun is on it, will not look the same.  They should give you bigger swatches to look at.  Honestly.  It’s like being blindfolded and tossing a dart, hoping you hit something good.  We picked one and I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Then I came in and made dinner.  I decided since I was sick to go with something comforting and to me, sometimes I just need some big old breakfast for dinner.

Pancakes!  Which I pulled out of the freezer and heated up in the toaster oven.  I’m always thankful when I make a ton of food and freeze the leftovers.  Makes for easy nights sometimes!  And oven roasted potatoes and breakfast sausage.  I had one package of pork links left so I decided to start using it.  Then once it’s gone I’ll stick with the chicken version I found.  And a smoothie on the side!

  • 3C orange juice
  • 2 large kale leaves, stemmed
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 banana
  • Frozen blueberries
  • Frozen pineapple
  • Frozen mango
  • Frozen peaches

Dang that’s a lot of stuff! :p  And my blender did not make smoky smells today, success!  When I add the frozen fruit it’s usually just a few pieces.  Like maybe five pieces of pineapple, a few blueberries, and so on.  I’m looking more for variety than I am quantity typically.  I only ate one of my pancakes dipped in maple syrup and I had some ketchup on the side for my potatoes.  Mmm dinner was so good and totally hit the spot!

I now feel like crap though.  I just feel really run down and tired. :(  Blech.  I hope it goes away soon because I have a smokin’ hot date tomorrow night and I need to be tip-top for it. :D  Scott and I chatted business over dinner and very important step, I believe we may have decided on a business name.  Score!

Now I’m off to get in my jammies and hang out.  Stupid cold.  See you tomorrow!

  1. That smoothie looks good. Glad you had what you were craving for dinner tonight.

Rest up, hang out with Scott and the dog – and just relax tonight! Hope you feel better.
