March 10th, 2009: Dinner

Wow guys but last night took just a nasty turn for me and I was oh so cranky about it.  I started typing out this post recapping everything and it just made me cranktastic all over again so I said forget it.  I’m not having this during birthday week!  So you get the shortened version to save my sanity.

First some yogurt before MT.

Wee bit (and when I say wee, I mean not even 1/4C kind of wee) of 2% fage with some bear naked granola on top.  And also a small smidge of PB&Co’s apricot preserves which are smooth but a tad too sweet.  Went to MT where I had to do an emergency application of some Thai oil to help stop a muscle from knotting up too much on me.  I was round kicking Scott and he stopped it with a front kick.  However his heel came down and slammed into my thigh.  Ouch!  My thighs were already a little tender from Shred on Monday so that just sent it over the edge.  I immediately felt my thigh start to knot up where he kicked me.  I snagged a bit of oil from the instructors and rubbed it in.  Ahhhh.  Stopped in it’s tracks.  My thigh is sore but no knot. :D

We came home and took Rocky out for a quick walk.  This is where disaster struck.  It doesn’t happen often, thankfully, or I would lose it for sure.  But occasionally we’ll run into people who think my dog “looks mean” and they act like he’s out to eat their first born.  Last night was such an instance.  Basically, the dude’s unleashed dog ran over to my dog to say “hello”.  He got mad AT ME because apparently my dog and I lured his dog over, and started making accusations about how Rocky was going to eat his puppy.   Meanwhile, all Rocky was doing was standing there letting his dog sniff him.  Such aggressive behavior, I know. GAH!  There’s more to the story but I’ll get too mad if I keep talking about it.  That’s the jist of what happened.  We just went on our way walking our leashed and crazed aggressive dog around the neighborhood.

Once home, I made some dinner.  Part of dinner was leftover veggies from Monday night that I put on top of some whole wheat couscous.  I also had some tuna salad that I spread on pumpkin seed and cheddar flatbread crackers (2 of them).  YUM!  Light and veggie loaded dinner, totally hit the spot.

Then after dinner I had these:

Because it was a wine and chocolate kind of night and I needed it.  I only had 4 maltballs which was plenty.  Then I went to bed too late at 11:30.  I was trying not to be, but was still cranky when I went to bed.

  1. that is so lame, i’ve heard of a lot of friends with the most sweetie pie dogs have that happen just b/c their dog is “big”, and the other person’s dog happens to be an untrained spaz!!
