Hi lovies!  I know it’s another full day recap post but I didn’t have time to post breakfast before leaving for MT class this morning.

I begrudgingly got up at 7am this morning.  That’s what I get for staying up past my bedtime to read!  I ran Rocks out for his potty run and man it was cold.  Brrr!  I came back in and has some coffee.

While sipping on that I surfed some blogs and also did my post from last night.  Eventually I got hungry and made some fuel before class.

Hello oatbran!  I made a little more this morning using the 1/2 C of oatbran to 1 1/4 C soymilk.  I ended up adding another splash of soy at the end because it was a bit on the thick side.  There is a TBSP of ground flax and a small scoop of vanilla protein powder mixed in.  And this pot I split with Scott (which I do with all my oats and oatbran breakfasts). My mix-ins were sliced banana, cranberries, and a small scoop of dark chocolate PB.  It was so yummy!  Again, could have used more soymilk but otherwise very pleasing and I wolfed down that entire bowl.  Yum!

Then it was time for class!  We haven’t been since last Saturday.  Stupid bruised foot.  I tried to be extra gentle and more aware of it in class today.  My shin guard was rubbing against it and that was a little bothersome.  I think I might have smacked it on a bag once so that hurt.  Looking at it, it has a few more purple splotches as a result. *sigh*   I can’t avoid MT entirely so I’ll need to figure something out.  It was good to be back at class though, I missed it!

After class we ran some errands quick and then it was home for some lunch.  I needed to eat, could not wait until after showering.  Plus I need to recharge from yesterday and clear my system out.  It’s not that I ate bad yesterday but defintely could have used more veggies.  Those wings I had, while awesome, weighted me down and left me feeling really sluggish.

My lunch today was a salad:

  • Romaine
  • Spinach
  • Raisins
  • Cranberries
  • Crushed pecans
  • Sunflower and pumpkin seeds
  • Blueberry granola

With balsamic and oil.  This by far is my fave salad.  I love the sweetness that is contrasted nicely with the balsamic.  And I love the crunch of the granola.  It’s a very light and refreshing salad which always leaves me full and feeling recharged.

On the side was a slice of flax and fiber bread toasted with a slice of swiss. And in the middle was a sliced green pear.  I ate all of my salad, two quarters of the bread&cheese, and about 3/4 of the pear.  After lunch it was shower time which I used to help me get warm.  I was so cold!

After my shower I read for a bit (new book, Book II of Twilight) while Scott showered.  Then we played some Lego Batman! :D  Took a small break to feed Rocks and then it was back to playing.

cheese and crackers

We snacked on a wee amount of red leftover from I don’t even know when, Wednesday maybe?  And asiago kashi crackers with cheese.  I had that square of cheddar and 5 crackers.  I just wanted a little nibble of something.  I would have liked to get Rocky out for a walk but the weather was so nasty outside.  Raining, super windy, and damn cold.  Then the rain turned to snow.  This is the worst season change for Central Ohio, going from winter to spring because of all the damn wind.

We played for a little bit and kicked one section.  Woo!  Then I started making dinner.  Roasted veggies are what were on my mind.

So that’s what I had!  Over some brown jasmine rice, about 1/2C maybe?  The veggies were:

  • Onions (both red and white)
  • Green peppers
  • Carrots
  • Zucchini
  • Snow peas

YUM!  It was a perfect dinner and exactly what I needed.  We’re watching a Pens game and I hope to have a small glass of red and a piece of chocolate soon. :D  Nite all!
