February 11th, 2009: Breakfast and lunch

Hi guys!  Bear with me as I’m getting set up on a new computer and have to get used to all new programs.  I’ve ditched the laptop because it just cannot handle OHC and her demands any more.  Plus a lot of programs on it (my laptop was an Apple) bugged me, like iPhoto.  Hated it.  Anyway, as I’m adjusting and getting things moved over, posts may be a bit slow.

Last night Scott and I watched a Pens game from a while back.  We’re behind on games and I can’t even remember when this one taped.  While we watched, I snacked on two maltballs and some seltzer.  I only had half the seltzer because it was making me feel a little bloaty. We watched the first two periods and I was passing out starting around 9pm.  I eventually called it quits and 9:30 and headed to bed.  I know, crazy!  But I was so tired and could not keep my eyes open any longer!  I passed out and slept like a rock too.  My alarm went off at 6am and I bounded out of bed.  I was still a bit tired but had no problems getting up and being functional.

When I took Rocky out this morning everything was a mess.  It had rained sometime during the night making the soggy backyard even more soggy.  After wiping his piggies, I headed into the kitchen to make some breakfast.  I actually could not make oats this morning because I’m out! *sob*  I have a wee little bit, but not enough to make a bowl for breakfast.  How sad.  Instead I had some yogurt!

I had 2% fage with bear naked banana nut, cranberries, and a bit of ground flax sprinkled on top.  I almost went in and had some chocolate too, but decided to behave myself. ;)  I read blogs, sent out some mail (Contest winners, your packages went out today!), and got some things organized on my desk.  Then it started pouring down rain.  Thoughts of a run were crushed.

I went about my business doing more work/blog stuff and then my laptop was giving me some issues.  Agian.  Apps were crashing on me and it was just running as slow as grandma without her walker.  I decided to take a deep breath and walk away.  Then I realized it stopped raining so I quickly changed into my running gear and was out the door.

I had on a light pair of running pants, a sleeveless t-shirt, and my hoodie.  The shirts I bought last summer and loved them.  Now they are too big on me and I’m swimming in them.  To the giveaway pile they go and I’ll have to get some more.  I did not wear my toboggan while running and my ears got super cold and started aching.  It’s a catch 22 situation.  No toboggan means my ears hurt.  Wearing a toboggan would make me too hot, temps have been in the high 40s and 50s this week.  It’s the wind that’s getting to me.  I only did a short 2.5er today.  The wind being part of the reason, my right shin a little achey being another.  My legs also felt like lead.  But I am okay with this!  I did get a run in so it’s all good.  I sweated like crazy too.  I’m going to go all Wonder Woman and wear sweatbands this spring/summer when I run.

Once home I drank 1.5 glass of CS and then back out the door with Rocks.  We are supposed to have a big windstorm today (sustained 26mph, gusts 40mph) and severe thunderstorms.  Since it wasn’t raining or too windy after my run, I decided to take Rocky out while the getting was good.  40 minutes later it was time to hit the showers.  When I came back downstairs I had a quick snack.

There are four apricots and some PB puffins.  I had all the apricots and only a few of the puffins (5 I think).  And then it was time to get busy starting the switch over from one machine to the next.  After fiddling around with that stuff for a while, I needed to make some lunch.  I was getting a little empty feeling.

There’s a cup of southwest soup that I beefed up with extra limas and some salsa.  On my plate are leftover oven fries, carrot sticks, and green pepper slices.  With a slice of cheddar for some calcium and healthy fats. ;)  In the middle is hummus and orange slices.  I had all of the soup and oven fries.  1/2 the cheese slice, most of the carrots, and a few green peppers.  I think four orange slices as well.

Now it’s time to dive back in to making the switch.  Catch you all later!
