December 13th, 2008: Lunch and dinner

Hi guys!  So MT class didn’t happen yesterday.  I think my body just needed a break because it felt like it was crashing.  I was tired and didn’t feel 100%.  I figured I should listen to it and we stayed home.  Today will be errand day where we do all the chores that need done.

My day will be super boring to you because we did nothing but sit on the couch and played Left 4 Dead.  I was in my jammies the whole time.  I did drink some peppermint tea while we played.

Then I made us an easy peasy quick yumm lunch.

YaY soup!

YaY soup!

Noodle soup!  I cubed up a chicken breast and sauteed that in some olive oil and seasoned it with a bit of S&P, smoked paprika, garlic powder and curry powder.  Then added in some chopped green onion and grated garlic, then added chicken broth.  Finally added in some broccoli florets and the ramen noodles.  Yup, just cheapy ramen noodles minus the flavor packet.  I like mine soupy and Scott likes his with more noodles less broth so it works out.  I also had a clementine to help get a fruit in for the day.

Then we played some more and finally decided on taking a break.  To me, the game is just okay.  Not exactly what I thought it was going to be but not awful or anything.  We walked Rocky and then I hit the shower.  A nice shower always makes me feel a bit better.  I fed Rocks while Scott showered and I also snacked on these:

A handful of raisins.  I was getting hungry but wasn’t sure what to do about dinner.  I wanted something light and what I originally had planned was heavier than I wanted.  I really wanted a salad and Scott said he would eat whatever, so salads it was!

Dinner was awesome!  I made us small salads with:

  • Romaine
  • Spinach
  • Almonds
  • Sunflower and pumpkin seeds
  • Walnuts
  • Cranberries

With maple balsamic dressing.  On the side was a grilled apple cheddar sandwich on 12-grain bread.  In the middle is the rest of the apple, a slice of cheddar that didn’t make it into the sandwich, and some salami and pepperoni.  To drink we had lime-cherry fizzies, limeade + cherry seltzer.  I ate all of my salad, it was so light and yummy.  And only half of the sandwich, it was okay but not as good as the quesadilla version.  I couldn’t quite taste the cheddar too much.  So I opted to finish off the apple and cheese in the middle, I did not have any of the meat.

After dinner we hit the couch to try and get caught up on some shows we have taped.  I made us more fizzies, but only had a few sips of mine and then passed it on to Scott.  After a couple of shows I felt like something a little sweet.

You know it!  And this time I added a little bit of chocolate sprinkles.  Wheee!!!  We watched a little more TV and then by 11:30pm I was headed up to get snugs in bed. :D

I felt much better by the end of the day and was very happy with my relaxing day!
